-And yes, i like reading.
You could make a new account and try the trial and see if it has changed to your tastes for yourself though probably better than us guessing what you feel was lame :)
"weeb" lmfao okay buddy
And why does it matter? Why do other people have to explain or justify themselves to you? If you didn't like it 5 years ago you won't like it now. There is no singular "appeal". The "appeal" is unique to each person playing it. Hence why I asked YOU: "have you considered that people just like things that you don't?"
From dictionary - "A weeb is a derisive term for a non-Japanese person who is so obsessed with Japanese culture that they wish they were actually Japanese."
I like Japanese culture, love to watch anime. But i'm not obsessed with their culture to the point of wanting to be one of them. Japanese work ethic is sucks... If we call people who like japanese media weebs then what do we call people who like other nations entertainment. For example, i often watch american and europe tv series/movies besides anime. So i should be called some kinda "western weeb"?
P.S. Why the ♥♥♥♥ word "j ap" is censored? Its short form of "japanese". When it became a slur? I sometimes dont get western people...
It became a slur back in the '40s.
Ignorant kids and adult children. There you go :)
J*p was the standard derogatory term used by anti-japanese racists following WW2 to refer to pretty much anybody that was of asian descent, and to this day is used by people to promote violence and prejudice against people. That's why it's censored.
the funny part of this all is, i bet 99% of the gamers dont know this, so by sensoring this it makes them start conversations like this or do research.. keeping the racism/taboo intact.
Punishing hatespeech, de-normalizing its use, and making it clear that such language is unacceptable in a functioning society does not "legitimize" anything. Allowing it to go completely unchallenged and be normalized in society does.
