A little help (stuck on a puzzle)

I'm stuck, and I don't want to spoil the rest of the game by reading a walkthrough, so I'm asking here only about a specific puzzle.

Present: I guess that I have to make Edna leave the room, so that i can videotape the combination. But I can't figure out how.

Past: I fixed the time toilet, but I'm pretty sure that I still have to somehow get the toy mouse in the attic. I can momentarily distract the cat by squeaking, but I can't figure out how to use that to my advantage.

Future: I assume that I have to get the "skunk" into the prison room, but I can't get it down from the roof...

If the solution to one or two of these come by solving the other, please just tell me the solution (or just drop me some hints) to the first one in the sequence...

Have you tried alternate methods of interacting with her?

Here are some hints:

You'll need to push her.

You'll also need to do something about the statue

The statue is being carved in the past

If you give the right handed son the left handed hammer, he won't be able to make the statue,and his left handed brother will end up making a reversed statue that Edna can't grab ahold of

I exausted all the dialogue options, and tried all my inventory items on her. But I'm not sure if I actually tried to push her (I got stuck once in Indiana Jones and the fate or Atlantis, where I had to push another character... Maybe I'm just not good at that kind of puzzles...)

And I did notice that the statue got reversed by applying the opposite hammer on it... I just haven't figured out how to take advantage of it yet...

Anyway, I'm going to try pushing an old woman through the door now...

To get the skunk down from the roof, u have to give it mouse toy from past
To get the mouse you need to change mattresses upstairs in past.

Another question: How do you dry the hamster?

Ok, here are some hints on how to get the toy mouse:
The cat is attracted to many squeaky items.

Take, for example, the mattresses on the beds up here.

The mattress closer to the cat squeaks. Use the bed, and you'll find this out.

The cat will move close to the bed whenever you sit on it, but he moves back far too quickly.

It would be nice if the bed were farther away.

Or at least if the mattress were farther.

Use the squeaky mattress on the non-squeaky one and you can then sit on the far mattress to attract the cat. You'll have time to get the toy now.

A cat in a previous time had a toy that he really liked.

It was a squeaky mouse toy. Use it on the cat/faux skunk.
