enclave hellfire armor - farming?
I just killed enclave forces at Atlantic Offices (Glowing sea) and finished the main enclave quest which was started by an ambush after exiting Saugus Ironworks.

Quest ended and its entry removed but 3 more Misc added. Saying to clear out 3 more Enclave encampments. After eliminating forces at those points, it tells you to shut down comm towers in order to prevent "further enclave garrisoning at that encampment"

well, there were 2 combat armor guys and 1 guy in full hellfire suit. What if I wont shut it down? will they respawn daily basis? Can i farm helllfire power armors for all my settlers? :)

Unclear. I've turned them off, but turned them back on again, and there are entries visible in the Creation Kit that suggest there are both respawning and non-respawning things.

After completing the core Enclave quest (and with the towers switched back on), I've only ever seen a random road encounter with a few more Enclave troops, but I also haven't really played all that extensively in any game where I've completed the quest.

I haven't turned them off yet. Maybe it's different turning them back on & not turning them off at all.

There's a side quest where you can get an experimental enclave power armor that was stolen by an enclave defector who then became a superhero named The Devil. Or rather he used his power armor to defend settlers and fight raiders and such. When I did this questline and got his power armor, and while I was wearing it, I got ambushed by a bunch of enclave soldiers who had a note on them saying they were trying to get the power armor back. I took it off after that so I don't know if the ambushes are recurring, but if they are then you just need to go around in the armor and fight the ambushes and loot them.

The quest is called Speak of the Devil.

It's certainly possible, I just know that the random road encounter showed up while I had them reactivated. It had two or three Enclave soldiers travelling along, with at least a couple in Enclave power armour, though I don't recall the exact model.

So at least that random encounter is possible.

It's a different quest, starting at wattz electronics, after finding a holotype. It ends under the police rationing site near diamond city. you get a X02 and a special mod for torso (or the radio channel)

but funily, i looted 7 sets of X02 at Atlantic offices durind vertibird fight. My level was too high i guess and designers didn't expect it probably :)

The building where the power armor was stored, further in the area with the armor if you go past it there's enclave enemies. Possibly try going back there and see if they're respawned and if they're wearing power armor?

hmm Insteresting idea, but i dont think they will respawn, they spawned there after a quest stage, it's a scripted scene. Probably wont happen again upon a cell reset.

so keeping towers on causes -at least- having them on REs, I was just curious about those 3 sites, very isolated places.. it would be cool to farm those locations whenever i need it.

T-51 is the way to go. Hellfire, X-02, X-01 and even T-60 PA is too expensive to operate.
I got all three sets of t-51, from the overpass north of the Charles, the barge in east Boston, and other barge need Croup mannor. Then I picked up the partial t-51s; out of the lake by covenant, near Watts department store in North Central Cambridge, at the Army Depo at Fort Hagen, and the Army checkpoint south of Fort Hagen.
Tired of these custom companions that you can tell to get INTO the PA, but won't come out.

you are anchorage type of guy
it's all about making collections, they are not actual necessity

and I just liked the idea that i could have all power armor settlers ;) but i dont think it would look immersive to have all power armor farmers all around. but maybe guards. I'll have far harbor armors for them, that zealot ones children of atom guys have.

There's a place just south of Coastal Cottage that spawns 3 Enclave and one of them is in power armor that spawns at a high reliability, just leave and re-enter the cell. I got a whole bunch of Enclave PA that way, but it's only good for selling, imho.

Its BGS - 'gameplay' and 'immersion' to them means 'endless copy-paste Radiant quests, over and over, forever'.

I love this analysis and this strategy. I’m tempted to do a run just to copy it.

The logic of those Next Gen Hellfire REs is pretty hard to decode. I have not been that interested in figuring it out since I think all the NG stuff is OP and unbalanced. Exploiting the RE mechanics would only make this worse.

I recently cleared Gunner's Plaza and there is an Enclave Garrison nearby, I already had handled them before and turned off the signal, but I have turned it on again and placed a map marker there.. I will check it later to see if anything spawns..

Whole containers were replenished and the mirelurk was alive in their prison cage. And the game threw a notification, said "signal is active" my guess is, it will spawn soldiers again.
That will be very interesting to see.

And really, really stupid if the NG crap lets you farm Hellfire power armour.
