So in essence, there is a good possibility there will be another Fallout, but if so, it would not be released until several years after Elder Scrolls 6 is. Maybe around 2032 would be my guess. He did mention during that interview, he would like to see some kind of Co-op in the game, but their primary focus was a single player experience.
but really, keep fallout 100% signal player. i dont want any "hay, you can do this with friends" games like assassins creed did (and now that stuff is dead so people going back to the games cant do that part of the games)
Calling it now, those are the release dates of ES6 and Fallout 5.
But with completely different missions, weapons, characters and stuff
What I do hope to see is a State of Decay 2 type of Co-Op.
I know that Todd has had a few snafu's with saying one thing and doing another, but I believe that FO76 and the push back on the Multiplayer experience has re-iterated that Bethesda is dedicating themselves to the single-player experience.
However, seeing what Undead did with it's Co-Op...and that both are under Microsoft, I can foresee that a Co-Op.
Seeing the wants from location, where do you hope it would be located?
I'd love to see the prime story in the US, with DLCs much like Operation: Anchorage, but taking place in China, Canada or even Mexico.
ESO and FO76 are pretty steady with their popularity. The "push back" is mostly irrelevant whiny fringe elements. They were designed as multiplayer games, enjoyed by people who enjoy multiplayer games, and pissed all over by people who wanted another single-player experience. That doesn't mean the games aren't successful. They very much are.

They're also even more popular on consoles. Particularly FO76.
Yes I agree. Single player that can be modded will have years of fun. Who wants another 76. Multi player = more empty game.
Maybe they're steady but they are not near as successful as FO4. I checked the links you graciously provided FO4 still has a bigger following. If you have to wait years between new releases why on earth wish for 2nd best? Btw last time I saw stats on it, single mode players were slightly more numerous than multi players...so hardly a fringe group.
Sincerely,
irrelevant Fringe Whiner
They're not mutually exclusive. The creation of FO76 didn't delay FO5. They're different games for different people from the same publisher. That's the myth being perpetrated by self-important people who feel like the creation of FO76 was a personal slight against them and all "real Fallout gamers" or some nonsense.
Developers experiment. Publishers branch out. It doesn't always work out but that's business as usual. I wish we could compare the console numbers of FO76 players to PC players because I know that's where the game has it's target market. The PC Master Race is still replaying FO4 with random mods while the console players move faster and have shorter attention spans.
Console players aren't in the habit of replaying the same 6 year old game over and over. They're into whats hot, trending, popular, where there friends are, etc. And console sales are the bulk of all video games sales. A solid 80% of the gaming market goes through consoles--if not more.
