Trifold American flag

Some merchants sell a trifold American flag, which you can break into wood and cloth. Now I'm not american, but wouldn't someone be a bit offended of that? Quite a bold statement from bethesda.

But I really don't think anyone takes it seriously. Honour and all that goes out the window when nukes start going off.

It's not even remotely a statement. It's just another piece of yesterday, of a world gone past, added for a sense of realism. What stuff would you expect to find 200 years after annhilation? Food is mostly gone, clothing is mostly gone. Lots of buckets, broken and old furniture, empty cans and bottles, paintings, tvs, all of the stuff that's not useful for survival, including previously ubiquitous flags.

I'm not the type getting easily offended, but just thought it might be like drawing the prophet Mohammed for some folks. But yeah, in a post-apocalyptic world you scavenge anything.
