Aka. still pointless, since VATS itself is pointless. (Or rather - It doesn't stand a chance against anyone with even basic FPS competence)
Now I understand why people want to craft ammo. *snickers and keeps using Vats saving ammo*
Right? I spend 3-4 shots to kill a raider in VATS, and it takes about 15-20 if I noscope them, even if every single shot hits them dead in the chest. Luck builds <3 VATS.
Any weapon with a decent scope - You can pick off people's heads from half a mile away. VATS definitely does not save ammo for me - In fact the few times I've had to use VATS to get off shots quickly, it has wasted half of the shots. Not fun with a gun with limited mags.
Im playing on very hard so trying to "melee" enemies to death isn't exactly ideal and I don't use vats often
Being able to see things is useful but being blind is 100% worthless
+1
It made it too easy in FO3/NV once you realised to create your character with high perception and you could take on deadlier enemies at a distance in the early game provided you were perched somewhere they couldnt get to you.
So do you snipe someone who may give you a quest or can buy goodies off you or do you take a risk and get closer first?
