Borderless window won't maximize, stuck in taskbar
Title says it all, I can't run the game in full screen because of quality Bethesda programming, and borderless window works except it won't maximize. Anyone have a fix?

I've tried nearly everything and I've spent almost two hours on my day off on fixing an issue that is simply unacceptable for a AAA game with a large budget.

Really need help and I know I'm not alone, I'd like to be able to play today or I'm seriously considering a refund for the very first time.

I'm definitely having this same issue. The game initially started fine in windowed mode, but since I switched to fullscreen and discovered issues, I tried to go back to windowed and now it won't maximize.

I fixed my issue by removing the startup folders in MyDocuments/MyGames/Fallout4

the Fallout4.ini folder and Fallout4prefs.ini folder should be deleted. Upon startup, they will be renewed.

There were some conflicts within the files that were causing my computer to start minimized. I hope this was of some help.

ok can confirm this works. u can go into the ini files after to add the command line in for always be active to allow use of the borderless mode to allow gameplay and other use
