I just ran over to the nearby scaffolding, he couldnt climb onto it, and the small pipes blocked the rocks as long as I kept moving. used a .308 hunting rifle and some grenades/molotovs.

omg u guys wasting to much worthful ammos on him using op weapons. I killed him with my starter 9mm when i went to diamond city and meet him. Near the swan theres a tank and behind its open. Hide in there and then take as long u need to kill him ;) easy didnt even hit me once.

I thought swan was awesome. I actually was going for a swim in my power armour. You think him popping up is scary. Imagine walking on the bottom of the pond and bumping into something. Flicking on your light. And having him go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥

I did the same, seemed Iike a good place to hide. Initially i was worried that I'd cornered myself until it became obvious that he could get at me. Was a bit disappointed that he simply stood still and let me shoot him round after round until it killed him. Took a but load of ammo to do so.

Crippled his legs and finished with sacrificial sword (or whatever it's called, I sold it after I got cool drop from swan). Crippling legs is really OP, it makes everything immovable. And that's why I'm on Very Hard.

A hard as ♥♥♥♥ boss that's buggy as hell. Notice the rocks follow you mid-flight? He's damn fast too.
