Mirelurk Queen cheese
Has anyone else managed to accidently backpeddle while stim pack spamming themselves into a doorway during the fight for the castle and just had it sit there doing nothing trying to get and been able to shotgun it to death from there?

I kited her up and down the rubble at the Castle. The second time I found one, I figured out that she doesn't like trees or rocks or hills with rocks on them and her pathing is really bad and shot missles at her face until she keeled over.

There are a thousand ways to trap and kill the poor, derpy AI in this game. I haven't done that particular very specific thing, but I've done similar things on almost every imaginable enemy type. Poor AI.

This is exactly what I did.

The only time I died was when I hadn't realised just how damn tall it is, and killed myself while standing on top of the walls after shooting it near the head as it closed in lol

Terrain is your friend for things that are bigger than you and mean like Deathclaws and Bears. For the bears I circle through clumps of trees too closely spaced for the bear to get through. Works wonders. Doorways are good friends as well.

Another fun thing to do to second queen mirluk I encountered was to draw her past some cars next to a cooking grenade. BA BOOM

The Mirelurk queen is plenty hard provided you don't have any overpowered weapons on hand at the time, and you are of a sufficiently low level. The first one I encounted was at level seventeen with a bad mix of skills, and low level weapons to boot. I don't typically carry a lot of the heavier weapons, because I find the weight prohibitive. I actually dealt with her in the same was as the original poster, and did the same at the castle. Which is a great place to do it as the hatchlings are a fantastic source of cheap experience points. I did that battle in the low to mid twenties.

For the third encounter on Solitude island I just laid a dozen or so mines, and nuked her exactly where she spawned. For the fourth I used an abundance of grenades, and for the fifth which I did today at level fifty. I just pulled out an assault rifle with burn damage, and melted her in all of like fifteen seconds. She didn't even touch me even out in the open. She gets progressively easier as you level up, but if you run into her early without a lot of heavy weapons she can be a lot of fun.
Kremvh's Tooth, high strenth, + melee weapons perk upgrades (rooted also helps significantly if your still). I never had to spam stimpaks in this game. It takes down deathclaws on like 3 hits, and an alpha deathclaw with 6-7 hits. In the best power armor the game affords you fully upgrade, you will be barely hurt by it though the stuff it sprays will sap life. Go find the Kremvh's tooth weapon and never worry about ammo again. I won't tell you where to find it though - It's pretty well hidden but I found it at level 12-13 or so, and have been using it since. Once you've used it for a while, you won't need anything else sans maybe a missle or nuke launcher.
