Can't finish quest "Defend the USS Constitution"

There are no more enemies anywhere near, infront or inside the ship, but there is still the quest to defend it ...

I can talk to the Cptn. but he just has a standard phrase won't doing anything :(

yes i roamed even more then the zone of raider spawning at the core event of defending the ship. Maybe it cliched because after the last wave i went outside to loot the bodies and then i attacked the 2 remaining scavenger (mary and the other guy), who stole the electronic part. But im not sure if thats really the cause of the problem.

i already forced reload due to fast travelling to the bunker and back the the ship. And also just reloaded after restartt of the game.

still stuck :(

I had a complete bug on this quest. Tried all the things you've tried. Had to 'Verify the game files cache' to sort it. Weirdest part was, apparently my game files were all correct, but the game still did a whole new auto detect for settings & downloaded all the dx stuff etc. Anyway, it sorted it for me. Give it a go. Takes about 20-30 mins if I remember. Good luck. :)

hmm the verify did replace 1 damaged file, but the quest is still broken, i guess i have to abandon the quest. I hope the Cptn. is not too upset, being so close to the completion of his life time goal

Open the terminal by clicking the "~" above the tab key. Then type (without quotatations) 'setstage MS11 840' this will take you to the next objective in the quest. Or watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QgeBFnWlulE

if Quicksave dont work, type in SetStage 00022A02 850 in the command console. it will give you the next part of the mission
