Mirelurk King = WORSE than Alpha Deathclaw...
I just encountered two of these at the same time - they are much worse than an Alpha Deathclaw. They follow you better; they are small enough, and fast enough, to go wherever you can; they have that nasty shot of whatever it is and they stay on you, hitting relentlessly. I'd rather fight Deathclaws than these things - they are to Fallout 4 what Deathclaws were to Fallout NV...

The only way I survive these things is that I have two pieces of Legendary gear with 25 Poison resist on each

I found three LVL60 SuperMutant Suciders with over 200 Ballistic and Energy Resistance far more problematic, but I play differently so probably that's just me.

Im only level 37, so Im speaking relative to my level... Oh I forgot about Cazadores - and that Legendary Cazadores was ridiculous...

you just suck is alll lol ....i fought a legendary mirelurk king.... it died fast to a few missiles....

now a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ legendary GLOWING DEATHCLAW ...... GLHF .....surivived more then 4 mininukrs.

Agree, even ace'd an 3 legendary encounter with them on survival (Stepping between boats and they tried to ambush). Sneak play done right = easy mode even on harder difficultys.

I've never felt even vaguely threatened by a mirelurk king. The first time I saw one I went "HAHAHAWHADDAFUGIZZAT" then promptly conflagrated him and his entire brood. Deathclaws, however, I still go "uuuuuuuuuuAAAAAAAAH" as I whip around and start diving for cover or obstacles to throw between me and him.

Pro-Tip, shoot the Nuke they're holding.
If they're standing close enough together they'll teach each other out.


And if they haven't detected you, shoot where the Red Light is

Nothing more satisfying than sneaking up on a bunch of unsuspecting Supermutants all crowded around a Suicider and shooting the red light where his nuke would be and taking them all out en masse

These types of posts... so much drama, so little reading comprehension...

I didn't say I got KILLED by them, I said they were more IRRITATING than Deathclaws. Learn the difference before you start making these "you suck" responses. Nowhere in my statement did I say they were killing me, or I couldn't handle them. Know what you are talking about before you make statements that do not apply to what you are responding to.

I found them easier than Assaultron by far.
I think their long range damage is not as devastating as Assaultron.

The queen on the other hand is more frightening.

When I wrote that i hadn't encountered an Assaultron... your totally right about that. She is a NIGHTMARE. I had one of those other bots attack at the national Training Center just after coming out of the armory (part of the quest). I think that is a scripted event. Oh - they are called Sentry Bots. That sucker followed me into the armory (yes I was running away from it) firing like three thousand bullets per second. I wanted to kill it without getting blown up in the blast zone, but I didn't know at the time I couldn't close the security door (had to use the terminal).

So it had me pinned down in that small area where the PA was. It couldn't get through the security door because it was too big, but it could fire aoe munitions. I just got where I saw a sliver of him and went off until he blew up. I don't think I would have made it if he was able to get through that door! Luckily it was NOT an Assaultron...
