Is there anyway to place a doorway on a floor?
I've been spending a couple of hours building a base in the castle but I ran into a problem, I cannot place doorways on floors. Im wondering if there is a way to do this using a mod or something like that.

Here are some pictures that shows my problem:

On the third picture, you can see that the only way I can place the doorway is if I remove the floor, but that leaves a gap that you will just fall through.

Thanks for reading and please fix, Bethesda.

Doorways are part foundation. If you clear the 'front' of obstructions, they're placeable.

You can place the 1/4 tile blocks which will snap in front of a doorway, as well, but not foundations.

Yeah, what you're trying to do is impossible. You cannot place Doorways mid-floor, sadly.

You CAN place a small floor piece so it snaps to the doorway itself. But that's still less than optimal.

Thanks for the help, I'll try that but hopefully Bethesda makes a doorway that can attach to a floor soon.

Oh, yes indeed.

We need INTERIOR "partition" walls, both with and without space for doors. Otherwise, all my structures end up being single large spaces on each floor. :P

WAIT WAIT, I just remembered, there is ONE workaround I'm sure will work:

You can place the flat, metal ROOF panel right in front of that door. I've done the same myself, it works just fine.
