How many side quests do I have to do for the two jerks in the police station before Danse offers to be a companion. It seems the quests are repeating now, Clean out this, clean out that...

IIRC you have to head farther into the main quest before you get him as a companion.

Just 1 I think, the main one with Danse, then follow him to the airport, ignore the other 2. Arcjet Systems

follow the main quest, he bcomes available after you join the BoS and get on the prydwyn

I don't think you actually have to do the side quests in the police station - Paladin Danse told me that the Powers that Be wanted to see me straight away. I only did the side quests because I love quests and didn't realize they were Radiant-style things. After Danse takes you to the Prydwen (the big blimp) you'll get to partner up with him.

I finished the Lost Patrol. Isn't that the main quest? I joined the BoS prior to that when he asks the first time after the first mission with him, prior to doing Lost Patrol. What am I missing?

I just watched a vid where Danse annouces that the cavalry arrives AS SOON as the tuber walks into the station after completing the Lost Patrol. That did not happen for me. What to do...

No it isnt, thats BoF quest, Main quest is "go to diamond city-do things-you ll notice when you will be able to continue with BoF quests, trust me

Do I have to do the Reunions quest, to free up Valentine, and do I need the dog? I've done things in Diamond City. Do I have to find Valentine first? Damnit. Be clear please.

If you'e never seen the Prydwen flying above the Commonwealth ... then Danse isn't available as a companion yet.

Spoiler #1:
Yes, free Valentine. Get him to investigate Shaun's disappearance.

Spoiler #2:
He will point you at a man named Kellog, and tell yu to use Dogmeat to track him.

Spoiler #3:
When you've killed him (there really isn't another option - besides, he's the scum who put a bullet in your spouses head), and exit back to the outdoors, the Prydwen will fly by overhead, making a dramatic entrance. Also, BOS vertibirds will start spawning here and there, attacking raider and supermutant camps from the sky ... the damned kill-stealing bastards. BUT, you get a full suit of Brotherhood power armor, so there's that, at least.

i think there is a bug where many people get danse directly after the ark jet quest and others (like me) dont get him as companion. I read a lot of walkthroughs and they always tell you: Just do the arc jet mission and he is your companion... thats definitely wrong. i want him so much :-( and without spoiler, i just think the way told before is really late in the game and after the main quest (after prydwen). anyone the same opinion? anyone got him directly after arc jet?

You're not supposed to get him before you're sent to the Prydwin for your promotion as a Knight. After meeting everyone onboard, you'll get him.

Those two people have continuously regenerating randomised quests. They will continue forever. As will the ones from Radio Freedom and other groups of people you can align yourself too.
