If you'e never seen the Prydwen flying above the Commonwealth ... then Danse isn't available as a companion yet.

He will point you at a man named Kellog, and tell yu to use Dogmeat to track him.
Spoiler #3:
When you've killed him (there really isn't another option - besides, he's the scum who put a bullet in your spouses head), and exit back to the outdoors, the Prydwen will fly by overhead, making a dramatic entrance. Also, BOS vertibirds will start spawning here and there, attacking raider and supermutant camps from the sky ... the damned kill-stealing bastards. BUT, you get a full suit of Brotherhood power armor, so there's that, at least.
Those two people have continuously regenerating randomised quests. They will continue forever. As will the ones from Radio Freedom and other groups of people you can align yourself too.
