where can i find gold?

Hello guys, i need to find gold but i wont tell u why ,not telling cuz i don't want to ruin a part of the story for u, if you got any idea of where can i get some a reply would be appreciated.

By scrapping things that say "gold" in them. Open containers. Buy it from junk vendors.

There is also a Quest, where you will get tons of Cooper and Gold Bars, enough for many Mods... ;)

Behind one of the buildings in Sanctuary is a Cellar Door that leads down. There's a couple of gold bars down there you can scrap for gold.

You will find literally tons of gold lighters on the map. It's a small prop, but it's mostly sitting on tables just about in every room. gold watches are also common, you'll find most of them on humans you kill.

i just scraped lke 16 gold watches 7 gold flip lighters and i even have the scraper2 perk so i got springs, screws and oil i think but i'm looking all over my inventory.....no gold

edit: nvm it was in my workbench. not asking for spoilers but should i not sell my gold?
