Raider jumped in power armor...

killed raider. Now lying on the ground wearing the armor. Cant remove it or remove power core. Armor mark gone off map. Is this a bug or intentional?
Also last save is too far.

You can't take armor if you had to kill the occupant.

You should be able to remove some of the armor pieces (torso, arms, legs, helmet) but you can not take the frame off of a dead enemy.

Think of the frame as destroyed.

Wow so you lost a frame too... well tip to self: always take the fusion core out of the frame.

sometimes mobs will patrol around empty power armor and enter it when alerted. your one chance to get to it before they do is sneaking or smashing the ♥♥♥♥ out of them fast. although some mobs spawn with power armor equipped and you can't remove the skeleton from them but you can take the peices

So is this going to mess up my game or something? Im 6 hours in, this was the first armor.

If it happens again, you can get the raider out of it by shooting out the power core, (if you're unlucky the explosion kills the raider while still wearing armor, but if he gets away from the exploding core, he'll step out and leave the frame behind).

Yeah I don't think it's intended like that, if it is it's kinda stupid.

Truth be told, PA is useful but not absolutely necessary, and over time you find many more frames, there's one pretty close to sanctuary actually, near a crashed vertibird to the east of... the robotics disposal thing?

you should be able to take the actual power armor pieces off him then eventually you will find another suit along with tons of more fusion cores/different armor pieces .
i have like 8 suits 30 cores and like 12 different suit pieces .

OP, there are empty power armor suits all over the place. Also in the first hour of playing the game following the starter quest you should have found one.

yes I just noticed I did actually take all the pieces, but I cant equip any of them. It says I need power armor to equip them. So... I need power armor to put on the power armor I already have taken from the power armor lying on the ground that is still there... makes sense
