Energy Weapon effects
I really like the energy weapon effect like disintegration and gooify on a critical kill, but just wish I could see more of them. Is there any way to set it so that you always get this effect with an energy weapon kill? Would be very nice to leave nothing but ash in my wake :).

Think it may take a mod but I can't even find one for Fallout NV or Fallout 3. I've done some modding for Arma before but I have no idea how to even start on fallout 4.

Since it happens on critical kills you might want to invest in perks that improve your chances of making a critical hit.

You can also try using the Alien Blaster, assuming it still has the same effects as Fo3 and assuming you want to use the cells for it.

I think the AB just uses standard microfusion cells once the alien energy cells are gone.

Anywho, there's a mod that allows you to set critical kill animation chance over on the Nexus.

EDIT: Here ya go.

I don't think you can improve your chance of critical hit, because there is no random criticals.

Yeah, that statement was flat-out wrong. I see disintegration on regular kills pretty regularly.

Actually, what he said wasn't wrong. What the person he was quoting said was wrong. You can't improve your chance of a critical hit, since crits happen in VATS when the crit meter is full and you hit the appropriate "crit now" key. Disintegration kills are not tied to criticals, but rather random chance.

That's what I was referencing. I was agreeing with whom I was quoting.

I even said "I see disintegration on regular kills pretty regularly."

Downloading now to give it a go thanks :)

edit -

Looks good, not found any bugs with it yet, some named NPC wont be changed but most will. Makes energy weapons a bit cooler with the nice effects. Thanks again.
