You already move slower when moving backwards in FO3 and NV.
If you can't run backwards IRL, you should get outside more.
Muties won't have a problem shoving you full of some bullets on max difficulty.
I'm pretty sure with sprinting now being a thing in 4, walking backwards is slower as well.
And if its not, i'm sure its easily fixed.
Yea, it's just like all the 'realism' posts you see in shooters. "All guns should kill with one headshot" or "It's stupid you can run forever"; things that maybe sound good, but hurt gameplay. There is a reason why hardly nobody plays shooters that aim for the most realism possible.
I dont usually walk with weapons and survival kit behind my back :^) watch any fallout video on youtube and you see they backpedal so enemies cant hit back. my character should not outrun wild dog with back pedaling
