How to have console make Plasma Infused ballistic weapon?
FO4 v1.10.163 with 6 DLCs on Windows 10

Has anyone done any research on making a plasma infused weapon? I got it in one character and it was fun but now I want to make one via the console.

What would the item code be for the plasma infused pipe rifle?

The full item code seems to be 4 bytes. The assault rifle item code, with no upgrades I can see, is 0000463f. So the last 2 bytes here are "463f". What if we try to add an item like 1000463f? Or 0100463f? Or 0010463f? What would we get?

Use the first 2 bytes of "0000" we have quite a few combinations we can make.

Thanks!

Looks like there's a bit more shenanigans, like dropping the weapon on the ground, grab it, and get its ID with another command, but that is simple enough

So in the end the command look like [ReferenceID].amod [ModifierID]

Try selecting the weapon within the console, then type "amod 001f9b4d".

That's the "attach mod" command + the form ID of the Plasma Infused legendary effect.

As always, save before you use anything in the console

@chaosium Ok here's what I did. I selected the file so it shows on the screen. Then went to console. Clicked once on the pipe rifle. Console returned some type of hex ID. Type in "amod 1f9b4d" without the quotes.

Then exited the console.
Then fired the weapon.

I'm not seeing any plasma effects. Did I do something wrong?

I did the same steps to a combat rifle and nothing seemed to change. Last time when I found the plasma infused pipe auto rifle it shot green bullets that looked like plasma. I'm not getting this now.

Sorry, I'm new to this amod thing. Do you have some more detailed steps you can show me?

I'm also running Sim Settlements mod now in the game.

Or, just use a mod that allows you to add legendary effects at the weapon bench.

@SteelFire What would the name of that mod be? I have Vortex to manage mods for FO4 v1.10. What I mean is, which mod is the most reliable that works properly which doesn't require other mods?

There could be several mods that do this. I would have no idea which is the most stable mod for this.

Thanks @chaosium! That's a big help.

I use these two. One is the main mod and the other is an update for it that also covers the DLCs.
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/4042
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13864

You'll also need AWKCR, which you can get either via nexus or the in-game mod menu.
