Boring late game.
I have played the crap out of Fallout 4. I have one level 64 and my second character is level 85, both being full survival playthroughs and I never used power armor on my second character. As you can imagine I've done most of what Fallout 4 has to offer, and if you've reached my level you know how insanely overpowered you become. I am somewhat satisfied with the quanitity (quality is ♥♥♥♥) of the side quests, but have now done them all. At about level 65, this game becomes extremely tedious.

High level areas are really rare in this game. Like, the southern part of the map with the most high level enemies (quincy ruins, gunners plaza, glowing sea, fallons hardware store area) can be completely wiped out of all enemies in about 20 minutes. Granted, the glowing sea might take longer to walk around, but it still lacks a significant number of interiors and enemies. The interiors take forever for enemies to respawn in, and even if they do they are weaker than the initial spawn wave. Everything in the north/mid part can be one-shot and provide no challenge/reward/purpose to revisit. The radiant quests are absolute ♥♥♥♥ which boggles my mind considering they put so much emphasis on them, trying to rely on an infinite quest replicating system in an attempt to direct resources elsewhere (marketing most likely).

I just don't understand why the ♥♥♥♥ there isn't a level cap at level 70, because that is pretty much where the content ends. The only reason I was pushing for level 85 is so I could kil a freaking mythic deathclaw, other than that there was no reason at all. How the hell can they take such a giant leap back from Skyrim? I put 1500 hours into Skyrim, and STILL found new things at my highest level of 96. Are they relying on DLC and mods to make this game have any replayability?

My second playthrough was mostly forced, because I didn't want to believe Fallout 4 sucked. But in the end, it lacks more soul than Star Wars: Battlefront.

The last 12 words made me spit my milk out. I completly agree though on all of this.

Not really all that different than Oblivion Fallout3/NV and Skyrim, I don't remember much of Morrowind only played it once. Start another character and screw around or just play another game.

Ironic, coming from someone who pirated the game

I played on PS4. Will be picking it up for PC in a year after mods come out. Bethesda may have disappointed me but they still deserve my money.

Fallout 3 was developed in a year. All ES games had far more depth and replayability.

The game sucks but you're buying it twice and have played quite a bit already. What do you do when you like a game?

Certainly the world doesn't feel as expansive as Skyrim's, but it did add some new things to screw around with, like settlements. All the same, level caps are arbitrary for games, and you're bound to hit it eventually.

First playthrough was because of my built up hype and resfusal to think the game sucked. Second playthrough was for review purposes and to verify I didn't love this game. It doesn't suck, it just has so many stupid little things wrong with it and it makes me angry to see so much wasted potential

there are already mods on pc. go get arbitrition and get one shotted by everything if you think the late game is too easy.

That was my point in my first post. The other games also have quite a few annoying things and shortcomings, they are still great games.

Game not that good, but you sound like you expect it to be a MMO or smth? Single player games usually have an end at some point. Usually people consider other things in RPG, well guess Bethesda themselves put them in this situation. All their last games pose mostly as 3d tier MMO crap, with daily quest SIMs wannabe and other content that makes no sense in fallout as good RPG we loved one day.

Someday they will realise that putting everything and random stuff in game "just to be" has nothing to do with quality, and looks especially dumb when 99% of your quests just straight go and kill and any quest that more complicated than move and loot big chest in the end of cave is usually bugged, which is fortunately for this game are few.
