cant get any behemoths to spawn

Aside from Swan downtown and mirelurk queens, I cant get the super mutant behemoth to spawn. There's supposedly one near fort strong but no matter when I go there it wont spawn.

Are you low-ish level? A fair number of "specific X can be found at Y" bits on the wikis are probably technically incorrect due to actually being leveled encounters and loot.

Has it been chasing provisoners and or getting killed by other nearby mobs?

I found one other day right outside super duper mart, was quite a surprise. Also normally one just north of Murkwater, south of Sunshine Tidings, and I seen another somewhere.

Fort strong is a one time mission spawned behemoth. Recon bunker theta is probably a one time mission one also.

The swamp one respawns, the one by the car fort, lexington one respawns, maybe more?

I've seen one roaming around Walden's Pond on occasion.

I've come upon them fighting with other factions... ie, I heard a ruccus , went towards battle noise over a couple of hills and there was mutants... fighting 3 deathclaws AND a behemoth. Heh. So maybe they are spawning , but you're not finding them before they are getting into fights with other stuff. Don't know about the lvl chk, but I have found the one at the lone bunker way up north, the BOS mission one... and the one over by Sunshine Tidings, smashing around in his little car-fort.

there is also one behind med tech, you will see a glowing ghoul corpse and thats where he is supposed to be
there is also one north west of natick, typically you see him fighting deathclaws/vertibirds

Pretty sure one behemoth constantly spawning in the midle of Lexington, not sure level req, think its smth like 30-35+.

Also there is a "home" from venicles where behemoth lives, directly north from ArcJet systems. Not sure if he respawns tho, didnt check him. But in Lexington he's respawn.
