1. Buy FO4 on GOG cuz Steam version is broken even if you downgrade, my own mod collection works for me with minor adjustments after downgrade but FO London is a no go for Steam version.
2. Install required mods to run it (they should have been included but whatever)
3. If it doesnt work for you properly, then you downgraded FO4 incorrectly or incorrectly installed FO London and also incorrectly installed them fixes to prevent crashes...
It is very simple explanation that you are at fault here, not the mod.... And it was added to GOG cuz Nexus has strict TOS and they are "working" on adding it there too but everything is a long shot with Nexus cuz they have to verify if the mod has proper gender and racial equality and whatnot (as they always do) and if they used some content that was not theirs (which they did) and then it can either be approved or not... GOG is the safest place for the mod to be at...
GOG mod + GOG game + Buffout and loading fixes = decent gameplay
GOG mod + Steam game + Buffout and loading fixes = game is most likely not gonna work
Edit: btw I have steam version when I deleted cc files I've seen no bugs since. Maybe the no weapons is a bug? I don't know it's possible but I haven't noticed anything weird like janky text or slow down or crashing. And FO 4 on steam is not broken, it's updated to a newer version that gogs isn't that's what allows gogs to be drm free lol. But broken it is not. Hence the need to downgrade it for steam and why for gog you just download it to gog and nothing else. It's pretty self explanatory.
I have not messed with any CC change
Either some part of random generated loot, you might have missed out on some or the CC removal messed with the ID allocation.
The following is spoilers so if you want to scrounge yourself don't read further.
I had a gun in the first half hour in fact there have been two at least in the first half hour.
One was in a small vault in the starting metro and another in a taxi, car trunk just after the first group conversation. Both were 9MM.
There are a lot of guns but the ones not on a person are mostly of the beaten path.
Like a suppressed sniper rifle in a crumbling high-rise with a Fallout London developer inspired graffiti just past Greenwich.
You can also get them from a bit more strong enemy by leading them to other people than just get the weapon and go back to the more easy districts
You can also get a overpowered full set of armor in the first hour if not less.
In the basement of the Prilladog factory in fact kind defeated the entire difficulty honestly the mod has some serious balancing issues.
Gun's are not the problem I feel, bullets in the beginning are especially when some enemies *which I will not spoil* can tank 50 + rounds point blank of upgraded hardware.
I know, after a 100 years there s/b nothing in most buildings but if not exploring for stuff, what else is there to do? I hardly run into anybody or things either.
It is a very large mod built on an engine that is known not to be great. Did you really expect it to be perfect from the beginning?
But that is what this is really about anyways .... the mod not meeting your expectations. You have any extremely large mods created so that you can say I did it better?
No idea what you are talking about. The first 2-3 hours not much happens (sadly, will scare impatient players away) but when you did the first vagabond quests and finally cross london bridge stuff starts to expand a lot and gets huge.
The thing with items is....a common problem. I would have prefered if a game designed to be harder soft-forces me into a playstyle i don´t prefer, would have been nice if sebastian at the start would have offered either the balisong or a 9mm with 50 shots or so you don´t have to probably waste skillpoints into something you don´t want to play like later.
The item distribution is also a thing. Fallout New Vegas did it different and placed special items at fixed locations, that´s great for exploration in a first playthrough as you get rewarded with interesting stuff here and there but on a second playthrough you know exactly where stuff is and go there directly - makes things a bit boring. Fallout 4 distributes stuff more random (still some things is fixed locations but a lot less then previous fallouts). This removes a bit a rewarding feel for free exploration as you end up with some bullets and tickets here and there but nothing special. It´s a tradeoff in gamedesign.
There's already a fix for that in the recommended mods list.
