Perhaps start by posting your hardware specs so we can see what you are working with.
In any case, verify the game files after a new installation and keep your graphics drivers updated.
a lot of the problems newbies coming from the tv show don't understand vs people who have been here for years, all Bethesda games are like this, even when they're new not a decade old. They can be a bit hands-on. They sometimes require technical ability. Over half of the users are fine or lucky and it just works, but for those who aren't lucky, will have to troubleshoot themselves to end up with a stable game.
sadly the thing that can help us help you the most, the F4SE framework and a few mods like Address Library and Buffout that help with producing detailed logs useful for troubleshooting, will stop working as soon as that update arrives, and we'll have to wait for it's creator and at least one other mod, Address Library, to be updated for the new version, to get F4SE plugins working again.
and, who knows, the update might fix your exact issue. it's possible. there's just no way to know before it gets here. It could just as easily fix 10 things but break 20 other things, and another update will be right behind that one, and start the process all over again.
it comes down to, do you want to spend hours/days troubleshooting just to start again, or put up with the crashing, or play something else til the 25th?
We are in turbulent times, my friend. Tell us what you want to do, and we'll try to help, though!
I played this game years ago as the others Fallout. It's just not cool to sell a product that is not working properly. Watched the TV Show, reminded me of the great game it was (is) so i bought it on Steam two days ago. I set my screen on 60hz looks like everything is fine till my last crash i think it's no more random crashes but more like if i walk to certain places it crash.
CPU is AMD and graphic card is a 3080TI
I guess i ll wait for the update.
If vsync in the driver is on then check Fallout4Prefs.ini:
[Display]
...
iPresentInterval=0
This will turn vsync in the game off and you can control it from the driver. In the driver should you then cap it to 60fps or whatever you like.
When you go significantly above 60fps will you eventually notice some symptoms like physics running too fast, dialogues cutting out, getting stuck at terminals, etc.. The mod "High FPS Physics Fix" addresses these issues and lets you play at high frame rates.
Otherwise can you set iPresentInterval to 1 to have vsync in the game on and then turn off vsync in the driver for the game (i.e. set to application controlled). A value of 2 means half the refresh rate, meant for the game to run at 60fps with 120Hz monitors.
I downloaded a razor Fallout 4 years ago and now i bought it for real. Anyway, i guess the next update will do it, i already spend too much time trying to make it work.
Yeah, i know, did it on purpose to avoid crashes but it's not working.
game runs out of the box for me

if you didnt disable weapon debris you should in the games launcher.
if you didnt install F4SE and High FPS Fix, you should
if you didnt set exclusion rules in your antivirus for Steams folder (or any folder for apps you use frequently for that matter) you should.
if you have OneDrive active and didnt disable it, you should.
