Very nice update, still can't play this game without any additional editing in settings.ini. Bravo bethestdadsdasd , very well! For what I bought asus laptop for 3500 dollars ? Definitely not for fallout 4... Or maybe I don't see some easy solution? can anyone give me an advise?

Try a clean install, also removing your existing config files. Sounds like you screwed something up and didn't realize it.

Also check for Windows High DPI Scaling. If it is greater than 100% will the game not detect the native resolution but only the resolution given by Windows from using High DPI Scaling.

2560x1440 works just fine here-- no ini changes needed, no mods either.

(I do use Load Accelerator, but nothing else.)

I think this may have changed with the beta. The game detects my native resolution with DPI at 150% now.

This is not the Bethesda launcher you are using. You are using some other application. I would be cautious using those right now. These tools like Nvidia APP, GeForce Experience and similar from AMD will still have data from before the update. These were ok to use and quite helpful before the update. Now it is trail and error.

The problem then is the update itself, which has broken iPresentInterval and how vsync now works, which is somewhat avoidable in fullscreen mode by forcing settings through the driver, but windowed-mode is unaffected by driver settings and I can only recommend not using windowed-mode at the moment because of this.

Oh ♥♥♥♥ that's my bad lol I thought this was on the Starfield forum since Steam has decided I don't need game icons on my forum notifications anymore. Fallout 4 does detect my native resolution in exclusive fullscreen though:

but not in borderless windowed:

I've made zero ini changes and all driver settings are default

Did you turn off Windows' High DPI Scaling for a test yet?? ... Set the scale to 100%.

If this helps then you can also set overrides for Fallout4.exe and Fallout4Launcher.exe in their file properties under the Compatibility tab. See there for High DPI override and set it to "Application".
