Fullscreen
Hi guys,

I can not find the way how to launch fallout 4 in Fullscreen.

It is always 1/4 of my screen or smth like this

My specs are rtx 3070 laptop gpu and i-12700h. Windows 11.
I think i tried everything what people said on reddit or steam.

Thoughts that a new patch will fix it but it did not help.

Yeah, I have a widescreen and can only play with it stretched and very compromised graphics. I'll settle for 16/9 with a border but no matter what I do I can't seem to configure it to do that.
Have you played it before the new update? Did you edit some ini files then?
I had the same problem and fixed it. Go to my documents / my games and delete the Fallout 4 folder. Also I forced the game to start with admin rights.. dunno if that fixed it or not. But after deleting the folder everything worked fine for me.
Hope that helps!

Windowed Mode and Borderless?
If the Windowed Mode is ticked and greyed out and can't be un-ticked you have to un-tick Borderless then go above and reapply the correct Resolution then click OK to close the Options panel then click EXIT on the Launcher.
Load the Launcher again and select Options once more. Windowed Mode should now be clickable. It should stay that way from now on.

Had the same Problem. I noticed, that Windows Defender blocked some access.
Check your protection history.

you mean this? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3168287201
ye that has happened way in the past for many games. Especially if you rebuild a system from back-ups.

Don't know if this is what you mean but right click on Fallout4.exe, compatibility tab, high dpi settings, Override high dpi scaling behavior, select application.

This game worked a year ago. I downloaded it week ago again and have this problem . I tried many things:Admins rights, changing ini files and deleting it.Nothing hepls. Funny part that fallout 3 and NW do not want even launch. I saw many people have this problem about old fallouts.

It works for me when the resolution scale is too big and I can see only 1/4 of the screen. Sorry it didn't help.

Check for High DPI Scaling. If you have a 4K display and scaled up the desktop, i.e. 200%, then the game gets messed up. Remember, High DPI Scaling is a newer Windows feature.

Either set the scale to 100% or set the .exe files to override. See here for some info:
