2: Please explean this one...it seems you are sking if codes/console commands work in FA:NV and Skyrim...I'll take a guess and assume you are asking if the same codes/commands work for Fallout 4 as well. Some do, some don't. There are many diffrences in the engine, object and other aspects of the games. Some of the basic ones may work, others may not.
3: I feel it is. I have put almost 90 hours into the game, through two characters (on the second one) and am still enjoying the game.
4: It has an ok story. Nothing someone would write a book about, but enough to keep you interested a bit, until you finish the main story chain. After that, same kind of Fallout game with many quests and other optional things to do.
5: No. From what has been said, the developer is going to using their own site for mods as they plan on opening up mods to the PS4 and XBox One as well. They will have to be made on the PC, but the consoles will be able to download and play them as well. Still, no workshop support is planned.
The game is buggy, the console is practically part of the game and helpful with glitches. This is usually sufferrable. Play the game long enough though, that is even without mods or funny stuff fans may accuse you of, and you may be one of the unlucky people where the game crashes forcing you to start from scratch, only for it to start happening again.
This game is very fun, it makes you want to play it, so much that I've put a lot of time in, but I'm trying to convince myself to stop trying. I lose track of what I'm doing, no longer really engaged in the exploring or the story and more focused on saving like leaving breadcrumbs--it may be best to wait in case you are one of the unlucky ones. This game is a liability because of how good it is.
Gameplay wise, you'll sink more hours into it than most other games. Plenty of bang for your buck, so if you seek content, replayability and just pure time eater - Fallout 4 is your game.
As for the price, dunno, you can always seek it elsewhere, thats totally up to you, it'll still land in your Steam library
2) There are cheat and console commands for it, yes. Are they the same as NV and Skyrim? No idea. You can look them up pretty easy though.
3) I like it a lot, even if there are a few bugs here and there. I have yet to encounter a game breaking one. I find the gameplay pretty fun, although there ARE some things they don't mention that are good to know.
Such as you can peek around cover if you go right up to the wall/post/whatever, then get close to the edge. You will see your char lower the weapon, then if you aim you'll pop your head around the corner, aiming your gun.
4) The story is ok. As stated earlier in the thread, it's not an AMAZING story, but it's a good one.
5) Again, as stated earlier in the thread, no there will not be. You WILL have access to the mods via the Bethesda.net system. No idea how that will work or what it looks like though. I myself prefer Nexus.
I have sunk 50 to 60 hours into the settlement part of the game alone.
The story is typical Bethesda. If their stories are Shakespeare to you, be prepared to be pleased. But if you have a higher standard, you will find the story meh at best.
the game world is vast with a lot of detail, and having some verticality this time around. Weather and different terraine has been added as well. The story the world tells is far better than the main story line. You know what i mean: all the skeletons lying around, the computer terminals, the little notes.
as for the bugs, i have not had any game breaking problems since i save all the time. i have had to go back to previous saves before. Lost 5 minutes of game play here and there because of this. Keep in mind that i am playing on console. It seems much more stable on console than some comptuters. If you have a low end machine, or one with some odd components, you might find yourself in trouble. So before you get the game, make sure your machine will run it. Or make sure to follow Steam's refund guideline if you do buy it.
i have over 300 hours. Many fans of the game have well over this amount. I have no plans on setting the game aside any time soon. You will definitely get your money out of the game, whether you buy it at $20 or 60.
How many RPG elements in game hardly means if the game is good.
2) Never use them knowingly. Don't know what they are
3) Over 800 hours so far and nowhere near done with the game. Feel I've barely started.
4) Story? What story? (it's just an excuse to introduce you to the world)
5) No
2. Console commands are there just as skyrim and new vegas.
3. It's a fun shooter with very few actual RPG elements. The choices you make don't seem to make much of a difference to your character, making the game feel almost linear to me.
4. No.
5. Not really sure, i seem to have read conflicting reports on this.
I wouldn't recommend anyone pay full price for this game, it will certainly be the last Bethesda title i pay full price for. What happened to the Elder Scrolls series is also happening to the Fallout series. The dumbing down and removal of choices and RPG elements to make the game more accessible to a wider audience is taking away from the games appeal for me. It feels as though Bethesda are no longer interested in making great RPG's, just popular generic mainstream games. It's a shame and a huge loss in my books.
In short: Buy it and have fun, but don't pay more than £10-15 for it.
