Bug - Automatron bots won't leave my side

I tell them to leave and they just keep following me, unless I specifally replace them with another or a normal companion. o.O

I was wondering what happens when you get them to leave cause I sent a bot to go protect a base (wanted to make a new bot too), but when I go to that settlement they aren't there anymore. Do they have it where you can't spam companions?

I think that's a different problem; I have successfully sent bots elsewhere.
You are supposed to be able to own a lot of them; I'm not sure if there is even a limit.

So I just found a glitch...i wonder if it is fine if i make robots but not let them be my companion.
Plus i have this same glitch where i can't get rid of them too, but i guess it would be easier to get another companion that you can tell them to dismiss.

Oooh Matron! You can make as many bots as you want, but only 1 as companion.

what i would to do fix it is make a robot with no way to attack, and set him as your companion (remove arms)
