Poor performance GTX 960 4gb
I recently got this game but the performance is terrible, 35 frames average, lowest 28, Highest is 52 which is never stable, no matter what settings i turn to ultra to low it stays the same, i've tried reinstalling it already. On low i gain 6 frames that is it

The game is also CPU heavy, what is your CPU and what is your shadow settings?

i5 4690k 3.9Ghz. the shadows i turned completely down and off

I would expect a little better performance that that at low settings. The game is fairly demanding. But not that demanding. CPU is more than adequate. That should be in no way causing a bottleneck. Are your drivers fairly current. I run the 362.00 drivers and I get mostly 60 FPS on ultra settings with shadows turned down to medium..WIth a low of about 45 in the worst areas...with my GTX 970.

What resolution are you trying to play this at?

And are you on a laptop? (Because any Mobile-designated chip is going to perform a generation or two behind the curve, compared to a desktop GPU with the same numeric tier.) Even then, I'd expect 40-45 rather than the 28-35 you're getting. ESPECIALLY with Shadows dialled way back.

Third point, what version driver are you using?

Finally, how about memory? System RAM is important too. As is the state of your hard drive; how full is it, when's the last time you defragmented it?

Same card here runs fine for me, just antiliasing, oclussion and a few options off.

I had a r9 270 2gb gddr5 and was horrible perfomance on this game and others.

my specs: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4440 CPU @ 3.10GHz 16GB RAM DDR3 Kinston HyperXFury Gigabyte Z97MX Gaming 5 MSI GTX 960 4GB GDDR5 (OC) Windows 10 Pro 64bits

wow i cant believe it, i thought i had the latest drivers, but they were from 5/28 i just updated and restarted my pc and now minimum is 49, average is 53, and high is 62 somehow, I guess it was just a driver issue.
