________________________________________________

hey im back with some realy good news... i run fallout 4 again on my pc.
as i told i would reinstall my whole pc new, set all new up... WINDOWS ect*!!!...
i did it just minutes ago =).
so i thought i come back to this diskussion to tell you about this.
yeah no one has to believe me... im glad i could help my self. not that im a big pc scientist but (i dont know where the problem was, maybe registry or what else, even i cleaned there up with ccleaner) after weeks and months looking for a solution on the internet and finding nothing, this was the best solution by my self. ok its maybe stupid, you have to install all games back and pick up all your saves from old games. but for fallout 4 i thought i give it a try.

so my last words will be:
REINSTALL YOUR WINDOWS

have a nice day and good luck

Found out another method. In the Documents\My Games\Fallout 4\ directory, delete/rename these three files:
Fallout4.ini
Fallout4Custom.ini
Fallout4Prefs.ini
Made it playable without crashing. I'm not wasting my time reinstalling something that is not the issue.

i tried your method to...
i was moding my game and these files had to be changed for mods.
what i did was just puting those files out of the directory/rename/ even puted fresh same files in.
that didnt helped me. =(
and i know what you mean with not reinstalling that has not the issue... i still bought new games and installed them and did other work, everything worked perfekt. but not fallout 4

Had the issue of it not loading (crashed with no error message when loading a save or starting a new game), which was fixed by deleting the Interface folder in the Data folder for Fallout4.

So basically what I get from this is you messed up Fallout 4 moding your game and inexperience in modding to do so. "break the software" considering it's digital and can be downloaded again and again and even unwanted files can be deleted and replaced through verify if you're smart about it. Meaning only replacing menu folders for hud elements and then running verify files to only replace those folders with original folders as new. You can't break your game indefiently.

I'm not really surprised to see such a big deal made out of this. Your insta crashes or not opening on a modded game for Fallout or TES is most always your menu folders which holds your hud elements and menu stuff throughout the game. Mid game freezes are usually scripted mods that are probably not in the right load order or a overwrite not done correctly when installing your mod.

Just wait until mods hit the consoles you will see these types of issues 100xs with all the kids trying to mod their games and blaming everything and screaming and kicking about how Bethesda sucks etc. etc... how everything in life is a fail except them because they couldn't follow directions when modding.

Another quality Bethesda release. I cant believe what they get away with.

The bugs within bethesda games are famous. As for the launcher failing, they should have been fixed, unless it's a compatibility issue with a previous version of the game before one of their bigger updates. They don't get away with much more than any other well known company.

delete; Texture, meshes, strings and material and then verify caché. If your save has become corrupted(usually doesn't happen), continue shecking for a non-corrupted save, If you can't find one just create a new save and then leave that one and your save shouldn't be corrupted, I don't know why the game is doing this, I suppose it's cause of the Bethesda effect aka unfinished scripting.

If that didn't help just remove the data folder and verify caché, but be careful. It's extremely risky as your save is going to be ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and some textures are going to change modules for some weird reason, in one of my save games the camp-beds or whatever they are called, changed textures with the Sole Survivor(You).

50% discount this WE. Bought and installed the game. It crashes 9 times out of 10 when loading a game.
I have no mods installed.

(and also, my 4:3 screen is not accepted for full screen. I tried windowed mode and fiddling with my fallout4prefs.ini in order to have 4:3 fullscreen. Both situations crash.)

edit:
config i7, 16Gbram, ssd , gtx680.
The "(re)move 3 ini files" trick does not work for me.

Had this issue, renaming didn't work. Took another look in the folder, and lo and behold, they made a "backupcfgs" folder. Renamed all of the file's in there. It is now functioning! So if the renaming trick doesn't work, look for that backupcfgs folder, it may be the culprit. Good luck!
