The mods are making me sick

Recently I started installing fallout 4 through gamepass and started playing again. As I have already completed the vanilla game many years ago I thought why not mod the game to make things different and spice things up. I ask some of my friends for mod recommendations and they introduced me to nexusmods and loverslab. I downloaded many of the popular mods and now I am shocked to see how the game has turned out. For example when my character and companion dies in combat they get transported to a different place and tied up and get raped and gangbanged by raiders or supermutants. And when I am in a settlement and crafting some random npcs runs up to me and starts ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ my character like there's no tomorrow. Also all the armor in the game became half clothes like for example when I wear my vault 111 suit my character upper body is exposed. Also I have seen that there are animal sex mods in loverslab. What the hell is this? This is going too far and its crossing the line. I am shocked to see things like this and these mods have millions of downlaods. How is bethesda allowing these to happen?

LOL...your friends telling you to use anything from LoversLab is along the same lines as the 'Hit Alt-F4 to _____' gag. If you want PG-13 level mods...only use Nexusmods. Also...read the description of a mod before you download/install it. Gaming...like computing...is about self-determination with a side of Darwinism. Legit modding is being able to mod anything and everything...no holds barred...absolute zero censorship. (Unless actual laws were broken in its creation.) There are sites that understand that...and those that used to.

Mods are to make a game more personal, to fix things that you think are wrong and to add things you want to see. Basically to make that game your personal world to live in.

A LOT of people want the nudity and sex stuff in their Fallout. For me personally it's always come across as tacky and appealing to a bunch of horny 20 somethings for the most part.

Do your research figure out what YOU want in your game and go hunting for mods that fit that description.

that's the reason you see all these threads that say "i installed a mod pack and it doesn't work. Fix it bethesda!1111!" in varying degree's of poorly written english... They just don't care or read anything and think the modpack is the quick way.
I bet most of the people using packs don't even read what's in it before they download it...

You can't always trust so called friends. "Friends" is a very loosely used term. Research yourself first.

So first off... Bethesda does not control modding and anyone should mod whatever they want. It just matters if the other person uses it or not.

Second, friends gave you those mods?! Wow, okay... Maybe they are different.
Personally getting raped/♥♥♥♥♥♥ without consent in the wasteland is realistic, but I do not play with it because it is not like I want to experience it. That rape ♥♥♥♥ is really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up and scars people in life, I really hope people do not jack off to that ♥♥♥♥.

Third. I would give you my mod list, it overhauls BOS, Minutemen, and major Institute changes. It restores some cut-content and makes the game really fun. It all works together nice too. BOS overhaul is really good, Minutemen overhaul is fantastic and easy to download. Institute overhaul was the most worth it but it was a couple of mods.

Settlement overhaul stuff (not sim settlement) and some QOL worked great. A simple, decent mod load order but good.

To get to the point, I would give you it. But personally I would never because you should not download from a stranger.

Fourth. Only a tiny bit of mods are like that... well... maybe more, sadly. But there are alot of good mods still!

Finally. The wasteland is a pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up place. Rape happens, sex happens, I guess sex with animals happen too... It is realistic, sometimes. A deathclaw would eat you, not think about a booty call. Fo2 had (very little but some) of those things, thankfully it was "hidden" though.
Personally you should not play with mods like that. Even though rape happens in the wasteland and would if it was in real life (actually it does even with laws...). It is not in Fallout 4 for immersion, it is in it for people to jack off to. WHICH IS REALLY ♥♥♥♥♥♥ UP! Rape and that kind-of stuff is not something you ever want. Let alone should it be in a game unless it corresponds to the story.
Pretty ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up that your friends had sent you sex mods, but rape mods are unheard for. That ♥♥♥♥ should not exist.


To sum it all up. (This part is the only important part)
Just go onto NexusMods and download ♥♥♥♥ that looks interesting, go onto reddit and ask for some recommended mods. LoversLab should be avoided since the intent is quite vile, unless you want to jack off to a screen that is.

Please excuse my language, the mods you listed were really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. I think you should review your friends, I hope you do not jack off to rape and ♥♥♥♥.

Also people download those mods because alot of people are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the head. Usually mostly male who cannot get a female in their life. They are losers and are a waste of space, not everyone matters. Or another way of saying it, look at how ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up the world is in some areas and you will find your answer.

Either way, get some better agency and pay attention to what you download. Those mods sound gross but you should check what you install. The responsibility is on you.

Pretty sure loverslab has an adults-only age check popup just for going to the site, so from the start anyone should realize that they're not in Kansas any more...

But yeah as others have mentioned, it's not that mods make you sick, it's the pornagraphic mods you download from a porn mod site that make you sick. Stick to Nexusmods, there ARE some adult themed mods but you need to opt in to even see those.
