Stuck in Zeta-Ray Chair (Spoilers)

Anyone else having this issue? I found the Hubologists place, went to sit in the chair to get an 'alignment' and then it went to that 'cinematic' mode where the HUD is gone, you can look around but can't interact with anything. And this jerk Phil is just sitting in the chair staring at me.

I feel like I've had an issue like this before in this game, and I don't remember what I did to resolve it other than reloading an earlier save.

Any ideas?

I solved it. It works when you pay the 50 caps instead of getting it for free.

Hmm, I reloaded, did it for free again, and it worked for me the second time, so.

Stuff like that usually happens when you are supposed to chat with some settler after saving their settlement. So just another glitch of same type I think.

same issue here but it occurs no matter if i do the speech check free version of the paid one.. always gets stuck after the first "alignment"...

Found a 100% solution. Phil does not have to sit near the Terminal before you talk to him and also, your companions should not be using the Terminal at moment or sit near it or doing anything else what can blockade Phil from charlataning you.

I was glitched many times too. I got it to work by making sure phil was out of his chair and sweeping and then talking to him. I charmed him for free and went and sat in my chair asap after talking to him. The cut scene of me sitting finished right as he came up to me and started typeing and talking. If I couldnt get my cutscene to finish before he started typing, he would just sit in the chair and look around.

Great, now im stuck in a chair forever while nothing happens..this is why this game is getting a lower score on ratings....annoying bugs like this.

Yea..finally got it to work..i had to jump on the guy because he was sitting down and not doing anything beforehand. I knocked his butt outta chair by jumping on him with my power armour. It worked.

LOL. I had this problem just now. I used the console to try to get out. Nothing worked (tcl, moveto commands. I even killed myself and respawned still stuck) so I got annoyed and selected phil and typed kill. He immediately jumped up and performed the "treatment". After which I exited the chair no problem.
