Tanned face bug?

Ok, I play modded no doubt, but my character seems to have gotten a really rad radiation-tan (pun intended) from running around the wasteland. Does anyone have any idea what might cause this? As you can see on his arms, the default skin color is not that hideously, cured leather face he's got. Help?

this happens when the game doesn't load all it's textures correctly, usually when you first launch it. I fix it by loading a previous save that's in a DIFFERENT cell, then loading my current one. This works every time for me.

It's a common bug, you don't need to be running mods for it to happen.

"showlooksmenu 14" In console. Then change skin color to something then back to the your normal skin type.

The easiest solution is save the game, quit FO4 and re-load. It is a texture load bug and part of the engine I believe.

I'm only seeing this problem on Shaun and synth Shaun. Loading a game as early as the before entering 111 does not fix it. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Chang clothing thats worked for me. Putting drifter or duster on usually fixes it, ive seen this when i put a hazmat suit on npc or player
