Mod Organizer 2; Help with A very Weird and uncommon of a Massive Error
So, as the title says: I'm having a weird ass error that isn't common and it's the first time i'm experiencing such with MO2.
creationgameplugins.cpp:133- "E:/MO2/profiles/Default/plugins.txt empty"
(The "E" in this, is my external drive btw)

and if I add a mod and uncheck it. I get: "Plugin not found: *pleaseinsertplugin'snamehere*"

But here's the thing, through: *It's Not empty*. If I were to go into the plugins.txt (as mentioned besides the first top error) The said Plugin(s) are *already* listed there.......

By all regards here; My ♥♥♥♥ should work as everything else appears to be normal. if I were to go to the plugins tab, it is there (and also active) but yet, the game either doesn't load them at all if its a light load list or if I have a decent modlist. i'll just simply CTD after clicking new game as it loadouts.

I've Tried ripping out MO2 completely multiple times and cleanly installing it, i've tried Creating portable (and global) instances, I've done the same thing for my installation of FO4 (And Don't tell me to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ re-verify my game files here either. as i've already tried that and it didn't work and I also manually deleted it's document file+Main installation multiple times), i've tried using my C; drive for the MO2 process and i've even tried reverting to a previous version of MO2...... (Which did somewhat work here. as prior to this; no matter what I did, MO2 couldn't pick up my FO4 installation for some reason at all. and it referred to the games plugin simply as: ""USERNAMEut4"" instead of Fallout 4).

any help is appreciated, because I have no idea how to fix this.

I had the same error until recently. It's most likely related to the path MO2 saves mods into that "plugins.txt" file (as reading it empty). Make sure your account has privileges and all. If needed, browse to files/confirm paths in the settings manually. Also make sure F4SE is installed correctly, might be part of the problem as well. MO2 has trouble with the way F4SE is packed up, repack it's DATA folder separately and install that in conjunction with the usual manual installation. Oh and try making profiles (not just instances) for each game, including FO4, that might also help greatly with managing mods and ensuring MO2 is working as intended. I had a weir instance of a game, that I uninstalled recently, had to delete it and create a new instance for FO4.
Having F4SE installed incorrectly (just manually copied files into FO4's root folder) sported weird behavior. When launching from F4SE_Launcher directly, everything seemed fine, MCM loaded, but with no mods in the game whatsoever. When launching from a custom created MO2 shortcut (leading to the very same F4SE_Launcher file) from MO2 directly, mods were loaded, but the game gave a "NO F4SE" error coupled with weird MCM behavior (sporting the icon of a Dollar before it's name) and while loaded, most mods didn't work properly due to the missing F4SE issue. The proper MO2 installation of F4SE (like I mentioned install the repack of the DATA folder) solved that issue. I don't know, if it's related to your "plugins.txt empty" MO2 error, most likely not, but you know, just in case.

That's Interesting, nevertheless here. i'll try to give this a go.
(Edit: I Forgot to mention this, but im already running my pc account as admin. i've also noticed that this still happens if I make other profiles too. The directories are set to their respective folders *again, as they should be*)

I don't recall that exact problem, but I did find that trying to use the latest Beta of F4SE gave me problems in MO2, but downloading the version listed above that, as the "newest version" did in fact work correctly, when installed normally with simple copy/paste of F4SE package.
