Any opinions on the best fallout mod launcher?
I would like to get back into modding Fallout 4, I have tried nexus mod manager but is there anything better than that? Also any recommendations for better quality of life mods?

MO2 and VMM, essentially, do almost all of the same things. There are slight differences in some functions and a couple of glaringly huge ones in others. It depends on what you want and need to get out of them. MO2 is completely virtualized to the point where your vanilla game (besides F4SE and - though not necessarily - ENB) stays vanilla. It will set up for you, but if you make changes, they're made and stay made. Vortex makes it easier in that it does a lot of stuff for you (but sometimes perhaps stuff it should not do) and makes changes without your knowledge (i.e. if you install a second (real) instance of the same game from another source, it'll transfer everything to the last one you ran, very bad news, imo). Moral of the story, if you're a light mod user who isn't going to play around with instances and profiles (although Vortex does do these, just not, imo, as well), go with Vortex. If, however, you want more control over what's going on, and especially if you plan on trying out different mods/combos of mods, go with MO2.

Vortex is the successor to NMM. I've been using it for over 2 years, and it works beautifully. MO2 is also a pretty good manager, but my personal view? I once tried it to see what all the fuss was about and found it confusing, with lots of bells and whistles that I knew I would never use. The learning curve with Vortex was much simpler, and it did exactly what a mod manager was supposed to do. That's my own opinion. Others will have different ones I'm sure. I just wouldn't use NMM. It's outdated and isn't officially supported anymore, although there are people who have taken it over and are supporting it.

MO2, not even a contest. A ♥♥♥♥♥ to get a hang of at first, but once you do you'll never wanna look back.
