any good vault-suit replacement?

I like replacing any other piece of cloth or outfit with those I dislike most. Why not mess around on outfit studio and do your own combination. If you are just looking for a diferent color on the vault suit. Again use any editing image program and change the color.

Military Fatigues add +2 to agility. You are thinking of Army Fatigues, which add +1 to str and agi.

I am using Brandis's black officer's uniform, because it looks so good. And it is the only black BOS uniform in the game. Stats suck and can not be ballistic weave modded ether. But for this run ( after more than 2300 hrs playing the game ) my focus is more on looks for my char.

The ballistic weave factor really does kick most other options aside, the vault suit included.

But for the regular game, that means it's a choice between the army fatigues, baseball uniform, green shirt and combat boots, military fatigues, Minutemen outfit, and tattered rags, since they're the ones that can be worn without preventing the use of any armour pieces (just like the vault suit).

Yep. But you left one out. The Courser outfit. With the exception, other armor can not worn with it. But none of that matters if you mostly do combat in Power Armor.

But they should have expanded the list a lot more. Dumb not to.

Lots of different outfits can get ballistic weave, it's just that they can't be worn under a full set of armour.

The courser uniform is nice, but doesn't really match up to the protection of a full armour set over one of the ballistic weave options that allow that. Especially not if you're also considering potential legendary effect on armour pieces.

True. And the legendary effects can sometimes be more important than the pure armor ratings. Like I said, none of your armor stats matter if you use Power Armor, as the PA's armor super-cedes the other ratings. But the legendary effects, I think they still count in PA?

But I know stats like str, agi and Charisma do not.

Nothing from your regular clothing or armour counts in power armour as far as I'm aware. It's treated as if you take everything off when you get into the power armour frame.

Yep. I paint them with the BOS scheme. The black paint along with Brandis's BOS officer's uniform looks awesome. And the RR does not seem to mind. lol.
