Any huge mods worth playing?
I've not played F4 for a while as I explored and completed every possible bit of content there was, so I'm looking for a totally new experience. Anyone got some good recommendations? thanks

Horizon is probably the most prominent and popular.

Definitely try out Sim Settlements (or the neatly packaged questy version SS2) if you haven't.

Fourville and Vault 1080 are really good. There's another Cthulhu one that's semi-decent. The Outcasts and Remnants ones are... well, let's just say NSFW, and not lore-friendly.

Outcasts and Remnants and all mods from the same author. The Machine and Her. Maxwell's World.

I do use the standalone to add... "professionals" to my game. My character doesn't frequent them, but it's a part of the world that should be there, adds to the realism. I also had the standalone subways systems installed for a while. But, honestly, it had me flashing back to my least favorite part of FO3, all the tunnel crawls to get anywhere, and I dumped it. Good addition though if you're looking for that kind of thing.

I personally don't recommend Machine and Her. I know I should not say this because the author provides it to us for free but...

First I need to say the story of this mod is fine, I give it 7/10. It is just as good as the dark stories you see in the vanilla game. It is also fully voiced (not for sole survivor tho), which is good.

However, this mod is organized in a very poor way to show its story(endless dialog, and no happy ending) and very rough (quest design, program). My current game has run 6 days 9 hours without fatal bug but for the 3 hours I spent in this mod I ran into 2 serious bugs that completely freeze the game and my save file is dead after finishing the quests that I have to go back to the save I made before starting the quest(BTW this mod was installed when this round of game was started. I tried install it on a old save file but the whole quest bugged out). It is also not compatible with AFT. I found that my Kit has no conversation with me at all.

The Machine and Her was pretty buggy in my game as well. It also ended with a common bug that permanently stops ambient music after the mods credits roll requiring I uninstall the mod mid-play. Fortunately it has an in-game uninstall mechanism.

Maxwell's World is VERY different and creepy and doesn't feel much like FO4. This could be good or bad depending on preferences.

I add Northern Springs to the recommendations though.

LOL mine did exactly the opposite thing, it won't stop playing the BGM, even if I turn on the radio or move to other place. Trying fix this by quick save, quit then load freeze my whole computer and damage the save file
