FO:NV unique enemies.
In new Vegas there were unique enemy bossfights hidden around and I'm wondering if there are any in 4?

Lots. Lots and lots.

That would ruin the surprise.

The only reason I'm asking is I have almost 30 hours on the game (late purchaser) and I thought I would have run into one by now.

There aren't 'unique' enemies. There are 'legendary' ones - different but functionally the same.

They're random and how often they show up is level dependent. The higher your level the more often they'll spawn.

Ya I was hoping for a more NV style unique legendaries as well as the the more common ones.

What are you calling guys like Swan, Clint, Baker, Tessa, Jared, and Red Tourette?

Are these not unique bosses that do not respawn after being killed when the cell refreshes?

Practically every location has a named boss that is unique.

Interesting how in New Vegas, one considers increasing the monster size by 50% cause enough to call something "Unique" and a "Boss"

Why are they not unique? You only get to kill them once. What does an NPC need to be for you to label them unique?

Be in New Vegas and have their size increased by 50%.

LOL, am I missing something here? These npcs are unique because you only get to kill them once. They are bosses because they are tougher than their base npc and they are named.

Why doesn't that satisfy the OPs requirement?

The difference between the Named enemies in NV and the named ones in fo4 is that in NV, the named enemies usually had some kind of special buff. Like cook-cook had a heavily resistance buff and such.

In fo4 their mostly just named for mini-quest reasons, or theirs some in-game backstory to them.

While on the topic of named enemies, I dont think any unique enemy in NV caught me by suprise more than that deathclaw you encounter in the cave on lonesome road. I forget his name but he's the second strongest deathclaw in the game and he's was just so damn fast.

Y'all are forgetting Wesley, the leader of The Gunners.

I would never surrender to a raider named Wesley. . .
GoreTiger Jun 27, 2017 @ 8:02pm
I didn't even pay attention to any of the gunner's names when raiding their HQ, I just blazed through their Hallways like that scene in the police station from Terminator because I was pissed off they shot a mini-nuke at me.

What about shrek ? He was unique enemy
