Can't kill Kellogg (selective fire)
I can't go kill Kellogg because I'm too annoyed that I have to take a semi auto combat rifle as well as a full auto combat rifle because they have power armour and talking robots and plasma guns and orbital space lasers but these cretins still haven't figured out how to make a ♥♥♥♥ing selective fire weapon, and worse than that it means only one of the two combat rifles I need to carry against my Survival carry weight limit in order to roleplay that selective fire weapons had been invented by 2077 can be the OG, the other one needs to be vanilla. How can I be expected to go kill Kellogg under these outrageous conditions!!!!

I know, I'm an entitled whiny Millennial crybaby. But I've searched Nexus and there's no selective fire mod for FO4 anywhere, so I'm going to stay at Hangman's Alley and sulk. So there.

Edit: less click-baity title

So why does one need to be vanilla?

Can you increase your carry weight to offset the extra weapon?
Well they can't both be the OG, sadly.

And it's a no mods no console playthrough.

Pick up the Fat Man located not too far from Kellogg?

Are you wearing your Frozen TV Dinner Armor?

Shotgun to the face (especially with crit) works every time.

I drag the extra gun in hand. It's actually pretty humorous. I have one out with both hands on it and I guess carry the other with my teeth. Drop the second weapon when I need to use the first. I've made a couple trips to setup the secondary weapon and ammo before. Use the secondary weapon overburdened, drop it, fall back, and take out the primary weapon.

Automatic and semi-automatic weapons depends from a different perk.
Why would you want to pick both ? It's way more efficient to specialize into a single type, getting the related perk to a higher rank instead of spreading your points into several perks, and only carrying weapons relevant to that perk.

But it's true that it's a stupid design, it would have made more sense if perks were related to the type of the weapon (pistol, rifle, launcher, etc...) rather than the fire mode. Well, it just works.

a fat man is provided in the room right before where you talk to him. there is also a semi time laps before they engage you that lets you get cover or what ever and your companion should take some fire away from you. he can be difficult though when considering all the others also attacking and he stealth boys a lot. the fat man is the quickest way though just don't blow yourself up.

I just killed him, and it's not hard. Bring some jet, a combat shotgun, sniper rifle, and lots of ammo. The combat shotgun's for Kellog, and the sniper rifle's for the synths. If the synths get close switch to the shotgun. The only skills you need are the rifleman and gun nut perks.

I don't think the difficulty is the problem TIE is basing the discussion on. Sure a fatman, perks, mods, and console can get you threw anything but what's the roleplay game with that?

Kellogg is a perfect situation to plan food, water, sleep, weapons and ammo but is messed up by the games lack of RPG.

A couple times I have gone in as a one hit kill with a 10mm. I survive and win with the weapons and bullets taken from dead synths and leave the nuke out of it.

Ah good catch, I'll be sure and pick one of those up. It's stashed next to the Apple Cobbler, right?

Too easy. I'm on a No Fat Man, Definitely No Big Boy playthrough.

Missile launcher is the limit. At least with that you've got to shoot straight and shoot fast, not just wave it in the general direction of the bad guys.

This is a True Fact.

I was even considering trying it with a melee weapon this time. I mean let's face it, a shotgun basically IS a melee weapon in this game. XD
