ENB Install Problem
Hi,

I'm currently trying to install an ENB into my game but I'm having a problem.

As some of you are aware there are two files I need in order to install an ENB from the ENBSeries:

1. d3d11.dll
2. d3dcompiler_46e.dll

However, I made the mistake of installing the game on an SSD and thus have been suffering from eternal loading screens. (Counter-intuitive, I know....)

Thus, I have installed this mod called Load Accelerator which helps with my load times in an SSD environment.

Here it is:

https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/10283?tab=description

The problem is that the file used by this mod is also called "d3d11.dll" which cause me to have to choose between the ENB "d3d11.dll" or the LA "d3d11.dll". Both files must be in the same folder with Fallout4.exe and obviously I can't have two files named the same thing in the same folder (I think?).

Changing the name of either file ♥♥♥♥s up the mod/ENB (causes either not to work)

Putting either in a folder also ♥♥♥♥s up the mod.

I'd rather not have to reinstall the game on my HDD and so I'm wondering if anyone knows a work around? I'm not too savvy on this kind of stuff myself.

Thanks

Did you already search the forum? As I recall, this was answered just last week or the week before.

I've always used an enb, and am atm, once more playing with an ENB (PRC) with the game installed on an SSD. Have not experienced any infinite loading screen. Whoever told you the SSD was the root of the problem might have been wrong.

As for the files, i remember it had something to do with renaming other .dlls and loading them by proxy via the ENB itself, so probably the same as sweetfx etc.

The process you gotta go thru should be something like:

- rename accelerators file to something like "LAd3d11.dll".
- Go to your enbseries.ini in games main folder and open it.
- Under [PROXY], you enablelibrary to true, and specify the file, so it looks like "proxylibrary=LAd3d11.dll"
- Save and exit
- Launch the game

Both .dlls should load and work now.

So you're saying that I can get the LA to work via tweaking the ENBseries .ini file itself? Sorry, I'm not too knowledgeable on this stuff so it just seems a bit weird that this works.

I'll try it out later and update you on the result, thanks for the help.

Its how it works, yes. The ENB can load another .dll on its own, i think boris introduced such things due to other graphics enhancements also requiring d3d9 and d3d11, but don't quote me on it.

Theres nothing suspicious about it, any video you have ever seen thats using a sweetfx suit AND the ENB, is running like that.

EDIT: load accelerator is rubbish tho.

might be the ssd due to some ssd die out and cause errors.
They only have a limited life of read and writes.

There ain't no substitute for reading the instructions. The mod page actually describes how to install an enb with the mod.
