As far as I know you can actually go do a whole series of quests all the way up to before getting the conquest stuff of the Commonwealth and then turn on the Raiders in Nuka world.
The problem is that, as I understand it, I ought to be able to at least activate the quest upon talking to Bridgeman right after the gauntlet. This does not happen in my playthrough and I'm also fairly certain the other merchants aren't suppose to be totally non-responsive. I only started killing the raiders to try to make sure I could even activate the quest, since I read that that was another way to reliably do that. But as I mentioned above, that didn't entirely work out either (A video I watched showed that the Vendor NPCs + Bridgeman weren't suppose to go hostile like they did in my game)
I could try finishing all the other Nuka World content before trying it again, but if it still doesn't work that's several hours of playtime effectively gone.
There was a backend update recently that may have broken something.
I even reinstalled the game and yet that didnt help either.
It would be lovely if this bug could get fixed
And this is without Open Season, that I cant talk with anybody in Nuka World Marked...
Maybe Bethesda's secret plan to make people play Fallout 76 is to ruin Fallout 4...
Seriously though this seems really crazy that this cropped up so suddenly. I do hope it gets addressed soon!
I am pretty sure I still have my survival save file (lvl 100+, no mods were ever used) of the fight before colton the overboss in the arena, I am curious if using my save file will let you progress, but that doesnt really help your character though...
(guess i lied, somehow I dont have the saves, which is confusing because i thought everytime you sleep in survival your making a new save. )
I think the game only keeps the three most recent autosaves.
Disabling mods after they've corrupted your save doesn't help.
Bethesda doesn't spend a lot of time working on a game that came out four years ago. If you are running mods I'd bet they won't help you at all.
It does seem that this bug was created by a recent (possibly reverted) change to either the NW DLC itself or another mod. Unfortunately it seems to get baked into your save file, even if you haven't been to NW yet.
There is no word on a retroactive fix, the UFO4P team are not likely to address it given their response and waiting for Bethesda to fix a bug is an exercise in futility.
I recently found some streamlining mods and the Workshop Framework and decided not to wait for a fix and just start again.
Also me: Oh, my...this was very recent...
I hate my timing for coming back to Fallout 4. ;~;
In the meantime, I suggest using the mod quicktrade found here:
https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/16229
While it doesn't fix the issue, it allows you to trade with the merchants without having to initiate dialogue.
hi,i reinstalled yesterday and have now same exact bug. no vendor and Nira will talk to me,no matter what . is this issue reported to Bethesda support? i know they are slow to do anything except "sale" on their Creation Club, but unless unofficial patch fixes this we're screwed .
