Spray 'n Pray
I rarely use automatic weapons. Ran into Cricket outside of Vault 81 today, and she had Spray 'n Pray for sale. It appears to be about 5 times more effective than a normal .45 subgun. So those of you who use auto weapons more, do you find it to be worthwhile? Is it more effective at close range than, say, a combat shotgun? Or could it be modded into an effective sniper weapon?

Too close and it might kill you, while an explosive shotgun probably would kill you.

Also try not to @#$% your pants when you fire it into the water, lol.

Submachine guns have terrible damage and are just a waste of .45 rounds that you could use with semi auto Overseer's guardian for instance.

Sure explosive auto is fun but that's about it.

I was comparing its stats to the Overseer's Guardian, and it seems to be pretty comparable in terms of damage. If you used the OG as an auto weapon. Does the second shot effect of OG do more damage than using Spray 'n Pray with 4 levels of the Demolition Perk?

The 2nd shot on Overseer's Guardian does not get perk bonuses.

Yeah. I mean I used overseer's guardian for a bit as a combat sniper.

Spray and Pray I didn't use, because I had a 10mm Explosive handgun and it worked full auto well enough.

I like auto weapons, I have an auto combat rifle that does plasma damage for getting nuclear material.

if you take overdrive a freezing weapon mod will .... premanently disable alot of enemies.

like I kill them while they are frozen I leave the area, come back they've respawned. but are still on the ground prone and won't get up. so I kill them again.

I use the explosive damage for other things, like there is a stealth Dominator robot, auto explosive ammo cleans it up.

or if I want to pepper an area with explosives far away.

up close I use something that adds plasma or cold or something the splash damage is lethal.

I believe wounding is best though.

I try to get Spray n Pray as early as possible. I think its great for an early/mid game weapon. Just dont use it when friendlies are around. Plus, .45 ammo is plentiful, everywhere.

Yeah .45 ammo is REALLY common. I had a two shot radium rifle a few games and I never had to buy ammo unless I was killing nothing but critters.

Explosive is a solid legendary but it has the problem of.

1)damaging you.
2) crippling you(HEAPS of limb damage)
3) pissing off anyone who is not a companion.

Pray and spray is meh as a weapon(overseers guardian is better for 45., though that could be cause I prefer rifleman).

I got an explosive pipe pistol, turned it into an SMG. 38. is dirt cheap and explosive keeps the thing deadly for a LONG time.

In the vanilla automatic weapons are meh and waste ammo.

With BLD they are extremely deadly, both for you and the enemies.

With BLD spray n pray will insta-kill you if you fire it too close for even a second. Gotta love mods.

4) Making a mess by throwing bodies and equipment everywhere.

Dude, dont just say BLD, no one will know what mod your referring too.

So if your going to show support for the mod, say its whole name so others can try it out.

I'm already assuming it's Bacon, Lettuce, Dinosaur. Or possibly Durian.
