So Piper and I had a thing going, but when I stole a Power Armor suit (borrowed,) the Atom Cats and her, began to attack me. Now she attacks me whenever she sees me.

Can you spend three days away from a companion that's attacking you, or do they stop being a companion?

She shouldn't attack you just for stealing, only when you or her kill some of the "good" NPCs that try to murder you over an accidentally grabbed tin can.

Also, you can use companions to take owned ♥♥♥♥ without reprecussions. Just go into command mode with her and instruct her to get into that power armor. The Atom Cats won't react to it in any way and you can just walk away with it. Stolent power armor frame is still considered owned though, and all the parts on it will be red.

Console is a can of worms. Easier to spawn a full X01 set.

Well, you discovered to your astonishment some folks just don't like the idea of you ripping their stuff off for your Sh**s and Giggles.
If you're not running survival, just go back to a previous save before you pi**ed everyone off.

Save yourself the grief of attempting to use console commands.

Or take your lumps like a loser and move on with your own game life. Maybe they'll cool off.
If they don't, live with fact you screwed up.

Odd anytime I did anything that made a companion attack me I would get a dialouge as if I had dismissed them asking where to send them and usually just taking something was not enough to cause them to attack unless for example in Piper's case I took something in diamond city triggering those in that faction to be hostile.

I'd think if she's shooting at you the game wouldn't count her as a companion at that point. Though knowing this game I could be wrong.

normally when they start shooting they have a 'piper disliked that' piper leaves the party, and starts shooting at you.

though in my case its typically because a car exploded and damaged a supply line NPC and shes like DAMN YOU.

and then I got to strip her essential status to execute the girl.

I believe Cait killed one of the Atom Cats when they started shooting at me when I returned, because that was when the trouble started. When I took the power armor, I was walking around talking to the Atom Cats without any problem, and got a quest to fix a water pump, but when I got back, they started shooting, and Cait shot back, and then Chaos. Now Piper is ok, I waited a few days and went to see her in Diamond City. She acted like nothing happened.

If you're running with a multi-companion mod, I imagine that may be what's behind her shooting at you in the first place.

I meant using console is basically cheating, since it can do almost anything.

Changing ownership is redundant, when you can just spawn a new set.
