For example, let's say you want to build a maintenance tunnel off your Atrium. You first have to have an Atrium doorway piece to start you off. Then snap a Maintenance doorway to the Atrium doorway and build from there. Each doorway piece is clearly marked with diagonal lines and the word "Doorway". These snap to each other, facing each other. Your vault doors will now snap to your doorways. That's how you connect different types of vault rooms to each other - the DOORWAYS are the KEY. Once you learn this, vault building is a snap (pun intended).
I can confirm this.
Still, some of the vault categories lack certain items, such as Utility corner doorways.
Once I learnt the doorway principle, building of Vault 88 became much easier and clearer.
Door to door, type to type.
And the domestic/utility components have a single doorway cap that will 'catch' onto another door type and allow you to connect those component types, without the need for a 'door corner'.
Problem is, that if you build in tight places, the lack of the utility door corner leaves you with an oddly shaped wall to the right or left of the door. You can snap a wall panel there, so you do not see the adjoining outer wall of a different module, but the wall is visibly thinner than the rest.
Them's the breaks, I'm afraid.
Those are mod items only, either SOE or Homemaker. One of those also expands the vault sections to include some corners, but I was already fully built so I didn't poke around the utility/domestic section much (I tried an atrium door corner to attempt a fix of a graphics bug, didn't work).
*sighs* Bethesda at its fullest again, I guess. Why the hell did they not include the lavatory stalls?
I will have to check the compatibility of the mods you mentioned with the ton of my already active mods.
I do have a couple of multiple-access washrooms that I haven't fully dressed out though, attached to a gym, the police station, and a couple of industrial areas where it made sense that several staff would be changing clothes before/after their shift.
I'm not so annoyed at missing stall pieces as I was that there was absolutely no shower fixture of any type... did most of my build before modding at all, so there are still a few console-placed institute showers around. *sigh* I may not be able to complete V88MB at all though, there's a persistent graphics bug that's beginning to show up in more areas where a set of vault pieces will 'stick' and... well, here:

No idea the cause or the solution but it survived a GPU upgrade, doesn't go away swapping parts, and doesn't appear tied to any invisible items like light boxes (found in CK and disabled, no change). Only happens looking dead ahead in north and south directions. Might actually be a legitimate code bug that only pops up when the triangle/draw limit is FAR exceeded...
more u move ur view/camera more the picture gets messed up to the point that soon u don't see where u are going
There is no such things is "Maintenance doorway".
No it not clearly marked with diagonal lines and the word "doorway".
Still don't know what vault doors snap to what doorways.
What type of DOORWAYS is key???
Vault Room still doesn't snap at all.
Does that not work for you?
