Pete Hines basically just said he doesn't care about us.

No. He said that the strategic direction is in thier hands, not yours. He is correct to do so. Products can not be amalgamation of the wishes of a million unique little snowflakes.
Well, it's all very well if Bethesda are ACTUALLY MAKING ANOTHER GAME.

Instead, they just want to set up a tap into our wallets and keep it ticking over while they rake in loadsa cash and sit around doing ♥♥♥♥ all.

Make a game Bethesda at least?

You've played Fallout 4 for almost 2,000 hours.

Did you get your money's worth yet?

Looks like Creation Club is here to stay.

I don't care about Pete Hines either. Still, the line from the actual link, "Fan criticisms don't define what we do" is perfectly succinct and makes me think he's got the stones to be honest about how businesses run. Someone's gotta break it to this new generation somehow.

Oh dear, whatever shall we do?

Not very good PR if you ask me. You can't just shrug off the community's woes. It makes you heartless, purely intent on making that paper. That isn't what we were used to from Bethesda, until lately.

But what about thier wants and needs... NEEDS, paugus! This is a company that makes games about magical elves and post-apocalyptic soda and this is SERIOUS BUSINESS!

Someone in the comments section summed it up beautifully:

Thats... not how it works, at all. You're implying that Bethesda is a service, which people pay for, and then get games as rewards for funding Bethesda. That's not what happens. Bethesda make games, and then customers can choose to buy them or not. It is entirely up to Bethesda what they decide to produce. The only say customers have in the matter is whether they choose to buy Bethesda's products or not, not what those products are in the first place. If you don't like those products, buy something else from someone else instead. Bethesda owe you nothing.

See comments section for the context of the comment.

He is just a very very rude man sometimes towards Bethesda community, even those who support them or ask him simple questions. If they want their community to understand the process of game creation or where they are with, say, TES 6, then COMMUNICATE it to the said community, release statements about plans. CDPR somehow manages to do that, and their fanbase has great respect for them and their work. Most people have no idea what's involved... Hell, a lot of people can't even tell a difference between publisher and developer like ZoS, DwD or BGS.
Yes, outrage of the community can be hurtful since some people are not shy for words, but also would pay off to listen to your community instead of pushing crap against everyone's will. If only 10% gonna buy CC mods, for example, then it's a waste of effort, time and money. Wouldn't be better put to good use like next game installment or a new game entirely?!
I don't mind waiting for a good game as long as I know they are working on it instead of milking Skyrim over and over.

Bethesda already "stretched their legs and took a break"..

They did Prey. Produced RAGE.

They are working at this micro-transaction bollocks, which quite frankly,. they will ditch pretty soon anyway because not enough people will support it, because we all know whawt it is behind all the smoke they're trying to blow u p our arse.

They've run out of stamina. Some other new developer needs to come in and buy Fallout off them (no doubt for a spitefully large price), and get on with finally making the Fallout we all want. RPG, choices both good AND bad..
consequences for killing people, both good and bad, again.

Challenging quests with difficult methods of acomplishment.

Environmental effects, (much like this patheticaly detatched 'survival mode', which quite frankly should be a part of your $60.00 in the first place)

It's time for a change of Developer.

You never answered my question.

You've played Fallout 4 for almost 2,000 hours of your life.

Did you get your money's worth?

They didn't develop PREY, Arcane Studios did, just like Dishonored. Bethesda was a publisher.

Just like I said, people don't seem to see the difference between developers and publishers...
