Well, considering you don't have fallout 4, you don't seem to understand that deathclaws are bad.

In Fallout 2 there was talking Deathclaws. You come to find out they aren't so evil, Their just mostly fueled by instinct and the fact everything in the wasteland wants to kill eachother.

Plus the Enclave had romote controlled Deathclaws as companions in F3, So it's not impossible at all to have a follower one.

to the OP, The closest you can get to a friendly deathclaw in F4 I think is with the wasteland workshop DLC. Build a Deathclaw trap, Catch one, Then set up the passive beacons that make it where animals you caught wont attack your settlers or wander off. then you can have a deathclaw wandering your settlement.

Like said you can have them with the wasteland workshop DLC protect your Settlement (yes they added to the Defence) and actualy will attack enemys nearby.
But as Companion i see one litte, well in that case more a big problem: The sitze - when you played some time you learn that Deathclaws are very tall and thru that have problems to follow you even thru simple doors ;-) Pretty sure in a Indoor map it wold get instant stuck in the Roof ;-)

They wouldn't be any bigger a burden than having a Sentry bot as a companion.

There IS a deathclaw companion mod on bethesda if you DO want one WITH mods.

But OP, Just as a reminder if you catch one in wasteland workshop, Make sure you build that pacifing beacon before you set it loose. Lol.

Because Deathclaws cannot be fully tamed to be companions - the only way they can be docile is with speacial wave beam in your settlements that comes with DLC; same as mirelurks. You can actually find a guy who tried to tame mirelurks, regular ones, and they... well... ate him pretty much. Otherwise, either of the monsters will attack you on sight.

Uh, The Enclave tamed them with radio transmitters as helmets...(Tho they aren't in this game)

Well, there is no Enclave in FO4, is there? Besides, u can make them docile with transmitters, but not to be companions, just protect yr settlement. Ergo, they cannot be fully tamed
