So, apparently the phone number on the Vault-Tec calendars could actually be called once. I rried calling it, and the number appears to have been disconnected, but here's a video with the call dialogue.

I never really looked at the calendars in game, and while I bought the game at the end of 2016, I didn't start playing it until this year because I bought the game at retail before checking the minimum requirements, and I didn't discover a workaround until this year.

How is it not a Fallout 4 Easter Egg? It goes back to the first public demo of the game where the number was visible on screen.

I did some research, and it seems that this phone number first appeared on a Vault-Tec poster in Fallout 3, and it could be called back then too with the exact same dialogue, and Bethesda brought it back for Fallout 4.
