Handmade Shotgun (Creation Club) Not Affected By Rifelman Perk?
Using the handmade shotgun (triple barrel one) I leveled up Rifleman and noticed the damage staid the same on the weapon. Is it not considered a rifle or is this a bug?

I doubt Bethesda put this much thought into it, but I sincerely doubt a homemade shotgun would have rifling inside the barrel.

Sorry sir, but the QA says the mod is 100% working with all parts of the game as stated. On a serious note, do you have any mods installed?

no mods outside of the Creation Club mods/dlc? Still not sure what to call it.

The rifleman perk should of increased the shotgun damage if it was 100% compatible.

Welp, that is the Bethesda QA for you. Lesson learned, avoid the Creation club and try the nexus for guns.

It doesn't matter if it has rifling in the barrel, the game considers all longer barreled weapons with semi-auto functions as "rifles" that are affected by the rifleman perk.

Actually it has nothing to do with semi-auto, as bolt and lever actions are affected by rifleman too. My point was Bethesda doesn't understand what makes a rifle a rifle, so it's not surprising to me whenever they miscategorize a gun.

So you think them not including the shotgun in the perk was intentional? Really?

Does your reading comprehension wax and wane with the phase of the moon or something?

Either way, I wish I could test this, but I don't want to support the current Creation club. I wonder if he had any other weapon damage perk learned.

And now it's not letting me delete the discussion. welp.

Confirmed, Handmade shotgun is affected by Rifleman Perk. Might not show up until you fast travel though.

I mean, all this proves is that this is on the same quaility as a decent free mod. Not a dlc or even an official mini weapons pack.

Everytime I level a weapon perk up I can't see the damage diffrence until I get out of the Pip Boy and pull it back up again. It was always like that for me even in vanilla. Maybe it was just that.
