Game crashes on entering "RobCo service center". does anyobody know how to fix this?

i get a black loading screen with the green loading incon in the bottom right corner. The games keeps loading for like 30 seconds before crashing to desktop

Try verifying integrity of game file first.

Are you running a modded game?

the game files are validated. I am running a modded game though. ( I had no problems with my previous character which had roughly the same mods loaded. the only new mods are 2 guns, a settlement crafting mod and the driveable motorcycle).

A random bet would be something to do with the Automatron DLC. Do you have it?

i do have the automatron dlc. It worked in the past and only a few extra mods have been installed in the meantime

If I were you, I'd first try an earlier save to rule out the possibility that your current save is corrupted. If it still crashes, I'd then start uninstalling mods a few at a time until the game no longer crashes. Then install the last batch one at a time until you find the culprit. Notice I said UNINSTALL. A simple disable won't work all the time since the mods files are still in your data folder and can still be used by the game if they match vanilla assets.

I just checked with a new save. The problem seems to be the robco service center, so ill remove mods till it does work

might it have something to do with the scrap everything mod? (asa this might affect the mechanist lair workshop)

Very possible. As a matter of fact, I'd remove that one first. Make sure you follow ALL the author's special instructions (if any) so you uninstall the mod properly.

I can confirm that the problem is the Scrap Everything mod. I disabled it and I was able to enter the building.

Scrap everything is the culprit for a lot of bugs now, unfortunately. From what I understand it hasn't been updated in a while, and a lot of newer mods have framework that conflict with it.
