How do I slow down time in-game?
Please forgive my lack of tech knowledge .... I'll try my best to explain.

When I played Skyrim, I had a setting that slowed down the time in-game. I achieved that by changing a setting via WryeBash in ini-tweaks.
The default setting was 20 but I could adjust it to 12.
This suited my style of playing ... an evenings playtime lasted 1 day in-game.
I was using WB306 for Skyrim but I'm using WB307 for FO4 and the ini-tweaks section isn't there now.

And so ... do any of you boffins know how to alter the ini (and which ini) to achieve the same result in FO4.??

I do hope someone can help ... many thanks in advance

Console set timescale # where # is an actual number. The default is 20. So half would be 10. I prefer 6. So every hour played is 6 in game.

Thanks kdodds ... helpful as ever ... I'm still going through your guide setting up my game.
I'd always stayed away from console commands in Skyrim so a quick dumb question.
Having set that value and saved ... is it stored until I change it? or do I have to input it again on each session I play.

I recommend using this mod to avoid remembering any console commands.

This also include slowing passage of time, traveling to another spot, etc.

Changing the setting of the timescale will slow down or speed up your game time passing.

However there was a side effect to doing this that would cause some bugs. I just can not remember what they were.

That problem bug comes into play if the time scale is set too low. It can break quests .. and the game in general.

Good advice ..

I knew the rule from my Skyrim playthrough ... it's wise to remember not to mess around with Bethesda's 60fps rule and all of it's variables.
Never attempt less than 1 ... err on the side of caution with your choices

try using sgtm. it sets global time speed. 0.5 would make everything in the game run at half the speed

Hi!
The description of Survival says that locations repopulate after 35 or 80 in-game days.
I’m going to use a console command “set timescale” to make nights 3 times longer.
Does it mean that I’ll have to wait for repopulation 3 times longer in real time?

Yeah, dig up a post from two years ago then ignore the warnings.

You can take Psycho, which slows down time for 10 seconds.
