Game is not loading mod plugins...
So, I installed a bunch of mods via the nexus mod manager, and somthing rather odd was happening to mods that I have been using before.

I wanted to install "Full Dialogue Interface" and whenever I do it does not show up in my game. I had gone through all ways of trying to deal with this and to no avail. I looked at my load order to find that when I install this mod ASWELL as "Minutemen reskin and standalone" and "Settlements expanded", they are nowhere to be seen. This is really frustrating, I hope someone has an idea to help me and hopefully other people who read this.

Try loot to sort your load order and see if that fixes it.

http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5310/?

Edited to add, did you make sure you have all required addional mods required for any mod downloaded from the nexus?

Oh well.

Just know that some mods need parts if not all DLC for them to work. And I can already see several references to DLCs such as Far Harbour and Automatron at first glance.

If you're still on the free rial then get rid of the mods and just enjoy the vanilla game while you can. If you decide to buy the game can you still mess about with mods.
Ignore my post, he is correct. I didnt notice you where doing free weekend and didn't have the dlc.

Do yourself a favour and only install mods one by one. Each time make a save file and then check if a mod is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Only then install a next mod. Otherwise can you end up with so many problems that you're forced to start all over.
Yeah thanks for the advise, however whenever i installed mods for new vegas and skyrim I never had this sort of problem, also I was reading alot about a patch to fallout 4 that made it harder to install mods?

Also I would like to add why would "Full Dialogue Interface" not be showing up in my plugins menu?

Go to the mods tab, right-click and reinstall. Are you getting the FOMOD installer? Or did you install manually? NMM doesn't play well with IE/Edge, ime, so a lot of people wind up doing manual installs. Stick with Chrome and look for a YouTube tutorial on how to tie it into NMM if you aren't already. IIRC, all of the mods you mentioned are optioned FOMODs.

If it does appear as installed in the mod tab, go to the plugin tab and make sure it's clicked (after reinstalling through FOMOD).

Yes i use the FOMOD installer but it just simply does not show up in the plugins. Also i have tried to reinstall it loads of times and i still get the same result. (This is also the case for the other mods)

What I am going to try to do is uninstall the mods and install them in one by one manually like sdack suggested. It makes more sence coming to think on it. However I will still be looking for the plugin problem

Just checked while rebuilding my Bashed Patch, Full Dialog does not have an .esp. Not all mods do.

edit: Doesn't have an .esm, either.

Sorry if I sound like an idiot, but what should I do?
kdodds May 28, 2017 @ 11:33am
Just play the game, it should be in there even though it does not appear in plugins because it has no plugins. FWIW, same with a lot of texture only mods. If you didn't install the standalone option, the MInuteman reskin shouldn't have plugins either. I don't use Settlements Expanded, but if that's the one that rasies or removes the building cap, it would probably not have a plugin either.

OP, I don't use Full Dialogue Interface, but I just read ALL of the install and possibly need to do install directions. I recommend you go back and read them carefully. There are options when installing and a couple three different things you need to or may need to add to your .ini files.

1. Make sure you have the Custom.ini lines added correctly, which you probably do or your other mods wouldn't work.

2. If you launch the game with F4SE you have to add a line to the default Prefs.ini in the game folder or the Interface won't show up.

3. Make sure you added the lines to the Fallout4.ini and the Fallout4Prefs.ini located in Documents/My Games/Fallout 4 where the Custom.ini is also located.

Which SSEX file did you download? If you installed the first vanilla file, then everything should be in the vanilla menus, AS LONG AS no other mod has modified those menus.

If you downloaded the second file on the list, it Requires SKE[Settlement Keywords Expanded] to be installed. You don't have SKE. With it there is a SKE mods menu at the far right of the build menus main categories and all of SSEX's items will be under the SKE icon.

Edit; I have no clue why the Minutemen mod isn't working. It may be that you have not encountered what it does yet. As stated before, just play the game.

*********************All those mods with so little time into the game was Not a real good idea. I strongly suggest that you play for many more hours and at least reach Diamond City Before downloading more mods.********************************

Oh yeah, I also suggest you get rid of any mod that references DLC you don't own[Far Harbor].

I had the same problem, when I first tried to install Full Dialogue Interface.

Then I read a suggestion to download the mod from nexus using the mod manager. Shut down the mod manager and restart it with administrator rights, and then install the mod.

This approach work for me, but I'm not entirely sure why it should make any difference.

You always need to run Steam, your games and NMM as the Administrator of your pc. Without that you don't have full permissions to make changes to files that are on your hard drive.
