I'm actually using True Storms. But the best ENB I've tried is Subtle ENB. I have to qualify that by saying I don't like ENBs that are "unnatural", ones that add ridiculous DoF or cinematics like flares and over the top bloom. I also don't like ones that make the game "more atmospheric" at the expense of realism. I would highly suggest going with a mod that alters the existing light behavior as well, LIke Enhance Lighting and FX. Darker NIghts, too.

ive just always liked vivid wathers for skyrim and cant really tell much difference apart from vanilla vs modded right now, barely feels like it changed nothing

hopefully it will settle with a proper enb, thanks for posting your thoughts on the matter anyway

Subtle should actually work well with Vivid, I just haven't used Vivid Weathers with it, personally, no need to switch to True before you've tried it. On Skyrim, I was always preferential to CoT, so when I started with FO4, I already knew I was going to prefer True Storms. And MAN does it make a huge difference versus vanilla. I'll try to get some screens when playing this weekend. I think I do have some up. I know there's a sandstorm one that showcases the difference pretty well.

here comes a top tier noob question, should i run the older version "ENBSeries v0.291" as instructed by subtle enb instead of using the latest verson released by enbseries for fallout 4 ?

just dont wanna mess up fps if the enb presets arent compatible with the latest enbseries

But pilgrim changes sounds too to give that extra oompf. Makes it feel more immersive. And to my knowledge pilgrim is the only one that does that

I love the look of Pilgrim, especially with the Dogmeat change, but the music doesn't fit the locale, to me at least. Think I'm using Subtle now, maybe. I can't remember. I dl'd a bunch of them looking for something like Grim and Somber Azura or Somber 3 from Skyrim. Didn't really find any that caught my fancy though.

For me it felt more like metro style (books) which I loved.
A truely dark and destroyed world.
But to each his own.

Pilgrim , best mod EVER !

I'm running the latest ENB series with Subtle.

Pilgrim I didn't like for me. It's an excellent preset though if you want more of a horror vibe.

Just wanted to add there was a darker ENB I did like better than Pilgrim, Decay.
